Wegmans was well behind on getting their lunch stuff out today, so I took the little one to chick-fil-a for lunch to try their mac and cheese as she's an expert on the matter. She enjoyed it, but she prefers panera's. So take that for what it's worth.

Watching the game and just saw a McDonalds ad for two Double Cheeseburgers and a “basket” of fries for $6.00.

Say what now? Is this a Pittsburgh thing? Can’t say I’ve seen baskets of fries here.

Anyone ever try BurgerIM (https://www.burgerim.com/)? There's a location opening nearby soon, and the menu looks pretty good.

Think thats one of those "it just does" things with a basket of fries. Fries just taste more delicious coming in a basket.

Chipotle also announced changes to its plan for store openings. It is now forecasting that it could open fewer than 140 to 155 new stores in fiscal 2019. In 2020, the chain plans to open between 150 to 165 new locations, with more than half including a “Chipotlane.”

The company has been testing special drive-thrus for digital order pick-up. As a result of successful tests in 20 restaurants, the chain is now planning on putting Chipotlanes in half of its restaurants currently under construction. The longer time period associated with adding the drive-thru lanes to more than 40 restaurants means that some openings are expected to be delayed into 2020.
Drive thru? How I am supposed to point over the sneeze guard at what I want if I'm ordering from my car?

Mobile pickup is the best thing to ever happen to restaurants. Just last weekend I picked up Starbucks and Piada without having to talk to a single person. Chipotle still makes you stop at the register but at least you get to skip the line.

If a place only served dog food but you could order online and mobile pick up I'd be more inclined to order there than a restaurant you have to call and place an order.

Depends which Chipotle. The one in Oakland has a shelf similar to Piada.

Mobile pickup is the best thing in the world that is not sex. (Although I suppose that option exists somewhere)

Online ordering at the market square chipotle upgraded the customer experience from "slightly better than the wood street mcdonalds" to "I may have to fight through the line but at least I don't have to stand in this line"

Is your Wendy's horrendously slow at times? I've been to handful down here that are really slow, even during non-peak hours.

WSJ had an article about Wendy's adding breakfast to their menu...hmm.

My Wendy’s is insanely slow. They also get super pissed that you decided to go there to get food.

The Wendy's I go to is on university Blvd in Moon. It's not terrible though they often take one order at a time. So the mobile is nice. It's not fast but isn't really that slow either.
