Yeah, I just go to the Italian deli down the street from me. Cheaper, and far superior.
Those cookies, though...

Subway is bad and you smell like subway all day just by stepping foot into one. I’m all in on local sub shops. Jersey Mikes is also good.

I drive past two Subways to get to Jersey Mike's. There are certain things on the Subway menu that I occasionally get a hankerin' for (like the sweet onion dressing or something stupid), so I'm not 100% on the outs w the chain. But their app is funny; I tend to get push notifications for their daily lunch specials at like 3 pm. Um... thanks? I ate 2 hours ago.

I had enough Subway to last a lifetime while in Charleston. It was the only walkable restaurant on-base at NNPTC, where your first 60 days (30 with good behavior) after RTC you were restricted to the base during the week. Galley food was extremely hit or miss and Subway was cheap enough for people making no money in exchange for their freedom. I've probably had it twice since getting out and it's always sucked.

The in-building restaurant at the courthouse in Greensburg is a Subway. It's the saddest Subway, and that's saying a lot. It has all the aesthetic charm of an abandoned hospital exam room.

That's why I miss the Subway location that I used to go to. It was clean, the food was always good, etc. Probably an anomaly. They tore down half of the buildings in the lot and have been taking their time rebuilding (supposedly, Amazon Fresh is coming). I'd love to see them return.

When I was in college (back when years started with '1') I was a regular at one Subway in downtown State College. Like they'd be making my order as I walked in the door cos they saw me approaching. And my roommate and I had a thing going with the one delivery place; we ordered from them so much they got to remember our phone number. That kind of thing pre-mobile ordering was pretty neat.

The town we just moved from (population 7500) had three (3) Subways. One in a gas station, one in the Walmart, one standalone. That's 3 Subways too many tbh.

It's weird. When I come out of a cold or a stop stomach bug or any kind of sickness, I always crave Subway

I had Long John Silvers for the first time in long time the other night since my wife was at a concert. It was oddly comforting and gross at the same time.

Damn, that sounds delicious.

So no hookers and blow but Long John's on your night of freedom?

'Long John' and 'I never thought it could happen to me' somehow go like hand in glove (phrasing).

When I was in Nome, that was the only fast food joint in town.

I got some sort of rash starting tuesday night that I attributed to bug bites, but it may have been the LJS saying F U to my body haha.I hope you ordered extra crispies.I had Long John Silvers for the first time in long time the other night since my wife was at a concert. I meant to put this in here a few weeks ago, but right before we moved, we ordered a KFC meal deal bucket thing. Kids got fried, we got KFC grilled chicken. I haven't had KFC in many, many years, but the grilled chicken was actually pretty tasty. Not dried out, well seasoned. But the surprise hit? The french fries were excellent! Kind of shocked how good they were. Pretty good value for $35 for four of us.

Yeah, their fries are good, though I will always prefer their wedges. Also, their biscuits are criminally underrated.

The biscuits were good, but can't touch Bojangles' biscuits.

KFC bucket with mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, and mac n cheese. Those were money meals.
