I remain quite snarked off that Popeyes dropped "Cajun rice" from their menu. Irrationally so.
That minute rice that they served?

Tried the new Steakhouse Burger (bacon variant) from Arby's today. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's not anything like a typical ff burger, which is smart. I'd definitely get again.

Was over in Boardman today and the GreaterYpungstown Area is adding a Swenson’s to its arsenal of stuff Pittsburgh doesn’t have.

Swenson’s is a (sort of lame but still) drive in burger chain out of Cleveland.

Hopefully Culvers will be next.

My college roommate grew up in Stow Ohio so he always talked about how amazing Swensons was. I finally went to one about 5 years ago. It’s nasty.

The signature cheeseburger with whatever secret sauce they use. I think it may have been a double?

I suppose if you can get wagyu at Arby's that trend is pretty much dead, right?

I had in n out for the first time last week. It was good. Life changing? No. Would I eat it if I was on the west coast again? Sure.

So what you're saying is it's definitely better than Swensons.

Well, then you must not have utilized the secret menu. That's the only explanation for how you're not in the cult by now.

As a former employee of both Wendy's and Arby's, if someone made me grill a freaking burger at Arby's I'd have been pissed.

It was nice not smelling like rancid grease all the time anymore when I made that particular career move. Not that there wasn't still fryer grease but it's not the same as grill grease.

Do they even have grills in Arby's? I think these are deep fried.

Funny you mention that. My family owns a bakery, where I worked for many years - high school, college, and a few years afterward. There were several things we'd make that would just linger on my clothes and hair (even with nets!) These spicy cheese biscuits were the worst, although they are tasty to eat. I remember going home after work and taking a shower, and I could smell the biscuits washing out of my hair. Gross. Another recipe had toasted sesame seeds, and that was the same deal - very nasty smell though.

My lil podunk town had a pop up Chick-Fil-A event which resulted in like 15-20 minute traffic delays around the location, and the local VFD posting on their Facebook about vulgar threats given to them by passerbys while on traffic control. A domino's pizza also opened up last week and had over a 2 hour wait for pizzas. It's so funny, it's sad.

It's kinda sad, because literally 75% of the locally owned restaurants in the area... Are pizza shops.
