I thought maybe you didn't have popeyes in Pgh. They weren't' there last I lived there.
Pittsburgh has popeyes. First one I remember is them taking over the wendys on 5th avenue in Oakland. Which I think is not a Popeyes anymore
The one in Sahside is the most ghetto restaurant I have ever been in. To the point of actually being panhandled inside the building.

My wife’s (girlfriend at the time) house in college was right across the street from that Popeyes. Was an interesting spot. Lol

I still have a Long Johns near me and the one time I went in it it was full of the post 60 crowd. No kids.

When I was stationed in Saratoga Springs we drove 60 minutes up the highway to hit a Long Johns for a nostalgia meal. It was a race to make it home without shitting in the car.

Sometimes some greasy fried fish just totally hits the spot. About six months ago I drove to the South Hills just to get some Long Johns because there isn't one anywhere near me.

There's still a LJS/A&W in Beaver County, E. Rochester on 65 near JR's Beer Warehouse.

I bet I have been there 3 times in the 22 years I've lived here.

Latrobe has a LJS. My BIL worked there before I met my wife.

Reading their WIKI:
On November 21, 1979, Orange Co. sold Arthur Treacher's to Mrs. Paul's. However, under the terms of its original sale-leaseback agreements, Orange Co. remained liable for millions of dollars of payments to investors.

The "Cod Wars" between the United Kingdom and Iceland during the 1970s caused cod prices to double. Mrs. Paul's responded by replacing the Icelandic cod in Arthur Treacher's recipe with less expensive pollock. The move exacerbated tensions with franchisees – some of whom had already withheld a total of $5 million in royalties for what they perceived to be a steadily declining level of service. Litigation arising from the conflict eventually reached the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Cod wars :scared:

Looks like they’ve made their way into Ohio and West Virginia, but there was a Captain D’s in North Charleston not far from NWS. Made LJS look gourmet.

Probably the only thing I miss about the office is going to lunch at Robinson Chick Fil A.

This just popped up on my feed. Good work Aimee!

Went to the Taco Bell drive through coming back from the trampoline park. We asked for a “healthy handful of fire sauce”. We got an extra bag, opened it up and it was just fire sauce. They gave use 70 packets of fire sauce for our two meals.

and while there, dropped into the local Raising Cane's, the only one "close" to me for lunch. my verdict? meh. solid chicken tenders and I prefer their sauce over Zaxby's but I wouldn't go out of my way go there.

I used to love doing stuff like that when I worked at DQ. I didn’t own the joint. You want extra sprinkles? You’re gonna drown in that ****.

I tried making beyond burgers once. It smelled like cat food, and I couldn’t get the first bite down. Right into the trash, never again. Impossible burgers were at least edible.
