I give the Arby's rib sammich a solid shrug. It's not bad per se, but did nothing for me.

I'm not a Mcrib fan, and I can guarantee this will convert zero people.

Honestly, I would probably eat the Mcrib before I'd eat this again, if I really had to eat either.

The big issue here for me was the meat. It just wasn't that interesting.

Automation coming to a Wendy's near you:
Wendy’s Co. plans to tap data analytics and artificial intelligence to speed up drive-through orders and home deliveries, anticipate return customers’ favorite meals—even keep burgers from burning on the grill, the company’s head of technology said.

On Tuesday, the fast-food chain announced a deal with Alphabet Inc.’s Google Cloud to develop advanced software capabilities that will use the tech giant’s data and AI to build voice-recognition software, computer-vision systems, mapping apps and other digital tools. Terms of the contract weren’t disclosed.

Aw man now who’s going to treat me like an dadhole because I dared to go through the drive thru and then get my order wrong?

It amazes me that AI has not yet taken over drive thru/fast food ordering.

I have used mobile order nearly every fast food order I have placed in the past year or so.

Wendy's has had an auto greeting for a while now. It's annoying. You know noone is there yet and they're not ready for your order despite the greeting saying so. "Hiii Welcome to Wendy's how can we make your day better today? Would you like to try one of our value meals?" It's awkward that you just have to ignore it or feel stupid by talking to it like it's real. No thank you computer let me know when someone is ready.

A new study published in Nature reveals that phthalates, a chemical used to keep plastics soft, and similar chemicals were found in food purchased from McDonald’s, Burger King, Domino’s, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Chipotle.

The chemicals were also found in gloves used to handle the food, which the study authors hypothesized might be the source of the contamination.

The glove contamination concept would seem to make sense, given that more of the chemicals were found in burritos than hamburgers. Fries, which aren’t usually touched at all, showed no contamination. The study did not come to any firm conclusion on that point, however.

Phthalates are linked to a host of health issues in children and adults. In adults, they have been linked to everything from reproductive issues to endocrine system problems. The National Institutes of Health cited a need to regulate phthalates in food to protect brain development in children, linking the compounds to ADHD and behavioral disorders.

According to The Washington Post, efforts to get a statement from the six chains involved in the sampling were unsuccessful. The FDA has acknowledged being aware of the study findings, but hasn’t yet issued a statement or taken any action.

Grammatically speaking, if you don't have 'the' in front front it should be capitalized. But in that colliquialism I don't think it's meant as a literal reference to the planet, in the same way 'what the hell' isn't really asking you about the afterlife.

For some reason I decided to try the Nashville hot version of the crispy chicken sandwhich at getgo. and for some reason it was 49 cents extra to get a friggin liquid sauce that tastes like "Nashville." and for some reason getgo's chicken sandwiches are chicken tenders and not some sort of patty looking thing. boo hiss.

It's funny you say that, I literally just learned about phthalates a few days ago. Definitely concerning.

Holy sht, I had no idea there were still a handful of Rax locations.
So I stopped at the Rax in Circleville on my way home from Cincinnati today. If not for nostalgia it’s not a place I’d ever have stopped. It’s in a probably 40 year old Wendy’s building and looked pretty gross through the drive thru window.

Probably my last ever rax roast beef and chocolate chip shake. Should have left it to nostalgia.

At least part of it is expecting anything to be like it was 30 years ago.
