I was more head scratchy over calling the timeout with the clock stopped.

The sense from being at the game was that we were toying with them and the game was never in danger

You guys seemed to have been more concerned

Denver looking unimpressive at home against Atlanta.

Looks like the Steelers and Patriots are on a collision course. I don't imagine that Miami will put up much of a fight, so hopefully they can get the injured guys another week off and have them come back against NE.

Shazier returning would be fantastic. In related news, Vince Williams had yet another terrific game.

C'mon. I was never an alarmist, but I said a couple times that letting the Jets hang around the game was a bad idea. It's not like there's a track record of the Steelers losing to teams they should beat handily by not putting the hammer down though.

why did they get away from the run game? bell had success. there was a lull in the middle of the game with a few punts where they ran silly passing plays. i didnt understand

also sammie coates should have had 4 TDs yesterday.

Todd Haley, that's why. I'd have sat Coates after his 4th or 5th drop, but he deserves credit for sticking with the plan and making some plays in the 2nd half.

Mike Munchak might have saved this franchise. I remember the story about this team pre-Munchak was how to keep roethlisberger healthy for a whole season, him holding on to the ball etc. he gets the Brady treatment nowadays,

The OL has been stellar, to say the least.

They scored 31 points and we are complaining about the offense

It's easy to say that, but at some point, eating paste for a few drives could be the difference between winning and losing... Especially with this secondary.

They're legitimate gripes. We might not be able to get away with some of this stuff against better teams, so I'd prefer it if Haley didn't **** around in the middle of games.

Maybe they quit running because they couldn't stop the passing game?

Very good point. He still holds on to the ball too long but now he's not getting killed while doing it. He had all day yesterday.

They stumbled in the middle of the game and weren't moving the ball very well through the air. That's the time period we're referring to here.

Really good job by Hubbard....zero penalties. I see the Jets had one sack; was it from Hubbard's side?

The rest of the afc norf lost yesterday.

Nope, it was Villanueva's guy who got to Ben. That was the only time that I can remember a Jet defender getting anywhere near Ben while he had the ball.

Coates probably cut himself while on the bench after his 5th drop so that he'd have an excuse.
