The Onion is always on point...

http://www.theonion.com/article/area-li ... dly--54670
Expressing dismay and confusion over voters selecting Donald Trump as the next president of the United States, area liberal Ryan Garlock reportedly told a group of his friends Wednesday that he no longer recognizes his fanciful, wildly inaccurate mental picture of the country he lives in. “This just isn’t the America I know,” said Garlock, adding that the broad national support for a candidate who openly expresses misogynistic, racist, and authoritarian views had caused him to call into question everything he thought he knew about his spectacularly unrealistic, wholly imaginary conception of the nation he calls home. “I just can’t believe that almost 60 million people would vote for someone who called immigrants rapists and attacked women and disabled people. The America [selectively constructed from my own experiences and personal values, and which only exists in my mind] that I love would never do that.” At press time, Garlock’s sentiments were reportedly echoed by all 1,273 of his Facebook friends.

Do you think all these protesters saying not my president would be more happy with Pence? If we're talking about progress, that guy seems like he would be even worse compared to Donald.

I think they'd be happier with the person who got the most votes.

The thing about Trump is that he has no coherent political philosophy. He's thrown a ton of red meat at the Gullibles this election year, but if you look at political statements he's made throughout his non-political career, he comes across as pretty liberal. It's a great unknown, which is pretty scary, but it's better than Pence, who is most definitely scary.

When you hear that Trump's thinking of guys like Newt Gingrich as Sec. of State, it seems he'll be pretty middle of the road. (While I find Newt pretty loathsome and would hate to see him have a role in any domestic policymaking, he is a bright and knowledgeable guy, a political science professor before he became a politician, so I think he'd pretty much keep the status quo in a lot of foreign policy - no dropping out of NATO, for example).

Are they saying that? Yoi. Just as stupid as the people who have been saying that about Obama.

I am 100% convinced that we might see Trump throw a bone to Paul Ryan, etc... on judges, but he's going to be another FDR when it comes to Public Works projects and things like that.

Also ditto to Tico on the FP of a Trump admin. There will be little to no change from the status quo on that front.

Now those guys are committed to their protest, unlike these tens of thousands of whiny 24-year olds.

Is there some kind of communique out there about calling him "Donald J. Trump"? I've seen lots of commentators this morning only referring to him in that way.

That Twitter feed is amazing. It's like Breitbart had sex with itself and this is the inbred progeny.
It was linked from another site, I didn't bother reading through the feed. Why don't attacks like this earn the attention of the media, HuffPo etc? Because it doesn't fit their precious narrative.
Same reason this isn't reported widely?
In one incident in Santa Monica, Florida, a gay man said he was left covered in blood by a crowd of Trump supporters after tensions started running high between red and blue supporters in a bar on election night.

Chris Ball, a film producer, said people started saying things like ‘We got a new president you f*cking faggots’ – and when he left the bar that night, he was attacked in an alley.
Image
Who knows the true back story of both of these incidents.
