Mice have been getting into our basement thru a hole under the front stoop we think (or hope rather, because that can be cemented closed, if they still get inn after that's done I don't have any idea where they are getting in).

This week we learned that our 11 year old cat is a hell of a mouser. Mrs. Franchise freaked out when I was away on business and she found one dead in the middle of the family room.

Good mousers are a blessing. When I still lived at home with the folks, I came home from work one day and our cat had killed 3 mice and a bat in one day.

Our cat would be one of those cats you see in memes where the mouse is basically doing whatever it wants as the cat just lays down staring at it.

Wife has a female cat that loves to bring its own kill to the backyard grill when we are grilling. It is wired I guess to think the mouse would be better from the grill. The cat doesn't eat the mouse, just loves the hunt.

I guess on a menu that would qualify as Rodent of the Day.

What was her attitude like? I was always told that Siamese cats are some of the friendliest, but every one I've come across - including one that we had growing up - was anything but friendly.

She approaches making a low guttural sound, walks around the area, drops the bounty, then moves away. I seem to recall the vet once told the wife to wait until she leaves the area before disposing of the gift or it will go back out on a hunt again.

Attitude wise? Loves people and loves to rub against anything, including the dogs.

That's why I love dogs.
