I replied to someone with something other than what they wanted to hear, so the f/u might have a double meaning. I don't know. This woman is typically very easy to deal with, so I don't think she meant f you.

A certain poster claimed in one thread they could admit when they were wrong, but that it was 'very rare'. That certain poster has a much higher strike rate of being wrong than they seem to be aware of.watHuh....... 'very rare' = almost daily

Interestingly, even though Pittsburgh had what is historically referred to as "Czechoslovak" presence, and even though the Czechoslovak historical classroom in the Pitt Cathedral of Learning is predominantly about Czech history, vast majority of old timers in Pittsburgh are Slovaks, not Czechs. (That being said, the Slovak-dominated "Czechoslovak" community in Pittsburgh during my time there - mid to late 90s - was super nice and super inclusive toward all the Czechs out there).I wonder if Hungarian and Czech kids in Pittsburgh had Sharks vs Jets style fights.
Since Slovakia was dominated by Hungary for about 1,000 years until 1918, I know there are many unresolved issues between the two countries.
Czechs, on the other hand, don't care about Hungary much. The animosity toward Sigmund has nothing to do with Hungary. Sigmund was actually from the Luxemburg family, and simply identified with Hungarians because it was the Kingdom he was given to rule. Czechs hate him because he fought against his older brother wenceslas IV (who was Czech& German king, Roman emperor, but quite a weak son of the most popular Czech king ever, Charles IV). Importantly, as @gaucho correctly pointed out, Sigmund was also a staunch anti-Hussite. And Hussite movement is the CORE of historical Czech identity (even though Hussites, objectively, were not very nice people, to say it mildly). However, during the 19th Century, when Czech nation was maybe one generation away from being dissolved in the sea of German/Austrian influence, the time when Czech Christian fighters were feared all over Europe was considered the appropriate spark to reignite the dying nation...
