Hmph, news to me. I've never seen one. I also don't receive change, so I guess I'm not the target audience. The concept of "collectible" money is kinda funny to me, but I don't know why...I guess they're just trying to keep the balloon in the air after the (assumed) popularity of the state quarters thing...?

Can confirm from my buddy who lives in Ecuador that he's sees more dollar coins down there in a day than he has his entire life back here.

$5 bills and $1 coins are the most common in Ecuador. He said even $10 bills they say no to. Counterfeiting is very bad down there with American money. I'm always blown away when he send me a picture of the fruit haul he brings home for $3 us dollars. Roughly 10lbs of mangos, 20lbs of oranges and **** load of bananas for $3.
