Not facebook but its all the same. Saw another announcement of leaving 'insta' as the millenials refer to it

Six (6) Days Later
Sometimes you just have to stop and be still and listen to what god and the universe is telling you. So much of my mood and attitude has changed with no social media. I’m just checking in to let everyone know I’m still doing fine, things are actually great and I feel better than I have in a very long time mentally, physically and emotionally. I can’t wait to share the things I’ve been up to. In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy spending my time with my people who mean the most to me! Y’all know who you are! I’m going to continue to grow, heal and thrive and do my best to be a better person not just to and for myself but to and for everyone. Miss all y’all - xo
I get facebook and twitter are cesspools, but instagram is just like, pictures, right?

It's nice that women love their husbands but wow, hope these guys get knobbers at home that are as good as they got on FB on Father's Day.

I always wonder if people actually tell others in person what I see on FB. I watched my sister post a happy Father’s Day thing to my BIL on FB earlier tonight... while he was sitting right next to her.

I don't go on FB much. I happened to be reading this thread and saw Ronnie's complaint. So I popped open FB in another tab to see what my circle of friends and family were doing. The first person on my feed was tif, which in light of the context provided by Ronnie made me laugh.

So Independence week has started, which in our neck of the woods means unending fireworks shows. Up to a week or so around the fourth.
The "my dogs/kids are freaking out about the unending fireworks" posts and memes have already begun. I get it that it sucks for your dog and/or kids, but it does no good to whinge about it on social media. The pyrotechnic experts are going to do their thing. Prepare yourself with dignity.

That's fine if you live on a farm, or at least some place where the houses are not 20 feet apart. Shooting off commercial grade fireworks in densely populated areas should be a capital offense.

Yeah, it's the same crap every year. The only thing that's worse are the virtue signalers going on about veterans with PTSD. Yes, it is really unfortunate, and I agree with dodint that setting off fireworks in densely populated areas is shtty. But give it a rest already.
