friend of mine shared one that had mentioned that bluegill are flesh-eating fish that kill hundreds of people every year.

It had a surprisingly high number of shares, which I'm hoping are people who are in on the joke.

So far today I've seen 30+ posts of people ranting about Nike and boycotting them. Maybe are, of course, saying Kapernick is worthless trash and using Pat Tillman as an example of a real hero.

Same. Pretty sure most of these people wear no Nike gear to begin with, as well.

Heh. I'd like to mention to them that there's a very real possibility that Tillman was murdered by his fellow US soldiers, but that's a can of worms I don't have time for today.

I have learned that it's simply not worth arguing with people like that. That said, if you want to really piss them off, you could always comment on their post and then unfollow the post so that you never see their reply. That could be fun.

I thought that it came to light that he actually was killed by fellow soldiers. Guess it must not have been confirmed.

They admitted it was friendly fire, but there have been accusations that it was intentional. I'm not sure they were ever proven though.

So, one of the guys I went to school with got into an argument with somebody else on this issue. My friend is a cop who pretends that police brutality isn't a real thing, and that everyone (including the media) is out to get cops. To summarize his entire argument, the ultimate sacrifice is the only sacrifice worth mentioning.

I look forward to his eyes exploding when he logs on today to see my latest troll post.

I thought making an innocent comment that I haven't worn Nike in at least 10 years and that this doesn't effect my day to day would be pretty clear that Kapernick being the face of their latest campaign doesn't effect me at all. I was actually called blind and a racist for having such an opinion.

You cant, and won't win. You'll get simultaneously scolded for caring too much about something when it doesn't affect you, and also for being heartless and *not* caring about something just because it doesn't affect your life. Happens here in the PDT on the reg.
