Well, about that....we both wanted a cat, but when we went to the WPAHS, they had two 11 y/o cats in the hallway that had been there for 4 months, and we couldn't help but save them both.

The third was entirely her doing.

Good on you. I don't think I could ever adopt a mature cat, personally - especially not with how emotionally attached my wife is to her cat (and previous cats). Our next cat is most definitely going to be a kitten, and likely a Maine Coon.

My parents had one, and it was one of the friendliest cats ever. Just so easygoing. They now have a half domestic/half MC, who has a similar personality, except that he's scared of everything.

Its a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Trying to undo the Facebook controls I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.
Here’s how to bypass the system FB now has in place that limits posts on your news feed.
Their new algorithm chooses the same few people - about 25 - who will read your posts.

Hold your finger down anywhere in this post and "copy" will pop up. Click "copy". Then go your page, start a new post and put your finger anywhere in the blank field. "Paste" will pop up and click paste.
This will bypass the system.

I love the r/antimlm subreddit. I think their derogatory name for these women, "huns", is the most apropos.

As in, "Hun, you've gotta try these oils, they are AMAZING!!"

Not to mention how every one of their BS posts immediately have like seven comments saying "OMG GURL, U ARE SO RIGHT! THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS!" When it is so plainly obvious that those people are just other sellers in her network. The sht is so incredibly retarded.

Full caveat to this...when my wife had her foot surgery and was off work for three months, she sold Usborne books. That said, I actually really *liked* Usborne's product, and my daughter still loves the books to this day. Buying books for children is one thing, buying weight loss wraps and other nonsense is another. And my wife never pressured any of her friends to buy stuff either.

The main reason my wife did that was to keep her sanity when she was laid up and hurting. Which I think goes back to the primary driver behind this crap that has infested FB, it's really just a bunch of stay-at-home moms that are bored and looking for something to do.
