went to Coop De Ville over the weekend. newest addition to the richard deshantz group portfolio.
for those unaware it is fried chicken with a tiki bar, arcade, coffee bar, and duck pin bowling alley. located in the strip district in the same block that has cioppino and oesteria.

impressions - delicious. i had the road house. mrs litt had nashville. little had deviled egg potato salad and mac and cheese.

the restaurant is a little wonky. there is a 'traditional' bar in the middle of the room when you walk in. you order food at a walk up window and pick up at a take away window on the other side. no servers. the coffee bar is accessible from outside or inside. there is a second room that has arcade games, billiards, duck pin bowling, and tiki bar.

supreme leader wolff would not have been happy with the capacity and lack of social distancing in the restaurant - so be wary.this was at 530 on a saturday too.
Other than Meat and Potatoes my generic review of Deshantz restaurants is good or better food in a place designed by hipster dadholes.

Having had Condados on Sunday and Bakersfield tonight, I can confidently say Condados > Bakersfield.
Condado is trash.

Rassame's Thai Cuisine

The talk about thai in the cooking thread reminded me that I tried a new Thai restaurant in Greensburg last night and it was some of the best I've had locally. It's on Grove St off of the West Newton exit on rt. 30. I lived in that neighborhood for a brief time when I moved back to PA. It's an unremarkable neighborhood that somehow has both this Thai place and a Prantl's Bakery location.

The food was clean and flavorful; I'd put it up against Nicky's on Mt. Nebo or Le Thai Cafe in Glenshaw. Supposedly very authentic for the area, that's how it got recommended to us.
Take Out only or delivery through Grub Hub.

There is/was a noodle place in Shadyside that was phenomenal. I can't remember the name of it, but it was upstairs along the railroad.

Great burgers, terrible sides. Last time we got it we picked up some side dishes from Rock Bottom.

I'm a fan of the chips with some ranch on the side

Their chips, onion rings, and fry offerings are all pretty good as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah well I'll have my boy with us too. It's easier to hide when he loses his mind in those two places.

They opened one near @Sam's Drunk Dog, and the few people I know who bought food there actually liked it. It’s operating out of a Bertucci’s restaurant.

I recently moved to Hatfield, and the closest one to me is in North Wales. Reviews say the food arrives cold and the orders have been wrong. I'll pass considering it is a 30 minute drive from there.

Local restaurant [DiAnoia’s Eatery] makes it onto Yelp's 'Top 100 Places to Eat in 2021' list
https://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburgh/ ... l?ana=wpxi

DiAnoia's is fine but in my quest for best Italian in the area, it's behind Garbarino's, Girasole, and Alla Famiglia.

I thought DiAnoia’s was fine but certainly not on the level of Girasole or Alla Famiglia (or Arlecchino).

Yep. About a 10 minute drive, but I don't think you can buy anything there.
