I was born in 82 but I was born poor so my timeline is skewed.

That's a terrible range, though, as if anyone born in 81 could have anything close to a shared experience with someone from 1996. I graduated high school in 2001, when they would be entering kindergarten. I say again, GTFO.
I think these deciders have come to the conclusion that there is something between Gen X and Millenials. Not sure if there is an official name for it yet.
Well, The Greatest Generation is taken but they're almost gone so maybe we can inherit it.

Did you play Oregon Trail on an Apple IIe? Then you are a Xennial (77-83):

I know that... I I was referencing the fact that Rizzos bought their building. I went to Carbone's once. It was very good, but I much preferred Rizzos.
Rizzo's > Carbone's.

Has anyone tried Pie for Breakfast yet? It finally opened and I pass it every day on the bus to and from work, but haven't had a chance to stop in.

They blew it when their opening menu had a noticeable lack of pie. They had one job.

We played Oregon Trail, some game that tested how fast you could type, and some other really stupid game where you were a fish that had to choose whether to eat smaller fish or not.

Oregon Trail and the various Peanuts learning games were our options.

You didn't miss anything with Lake Odell (per KTK), which I hope wasn't an endorsement for said terrible game.

That's disappointing.

I'll give them a month or two for them to get their act together. Then I'll give it a try.

@LITT has top notch restaurant takes, and I hold his restaurant opinions in high regard. so it is a bit surprising when a man of his stature boldly pronounces that he will not return after one trip right after a place opens

it is a multifaceted 'probably will not return'

there are numerous delicious breakfast/brunch eateries in this town. i must drive by at least 20 better spots before i get to PFB from any location. parking is not ideal. and the service was bad. weighing location, accessibility, service, and competitors, it is not worth me seeking out PFB

I think this is a very reasonable classification because I would agree that people born pre-1983 (or possibly even later) really do not fit the millennial mold. I particularly like this description:
Anna Garvey describes U.S members of this group as having had an "AOL adolescence" and as being from "the last gasp of a time before sexting, Facebook shaming, and constant communication"
I really do feel like I came out of high school right before things changed dramatically.

I was born in 88 and mostly consider myself non-millennial.

I don’t think anyone born in the 80s should be considered a millennial.

In my defense Fayette County still thinks it's 1999.

Defining generations is dumb, and arguing over where they start or stop is dumber.

Generations are incredibly loosely defined and there doesn't seem to be a consensus on the timelines. And categorizing yourself by your generation is just as dumb as categorizing yourself by your astrological sign.

If you think a t-shirt that says "You have died of dysentery" is an unironic piece of nostalgia, you are not a millennial.
