Con Alma is a cool place but their surcharge for music can be a little much depending how long you plan on staying. We went for a nightcap once and got charged $10 a person extra

So restaurants are adding all sort of fees now?

I don't mind that fee. There is live music and they're charging for the service, and hopefully the performers get a piece of it. I just meant in case you didn't realize there's a fee, don't stop in for one drink because then it's a bad deal

I agree. we went there for a HH a few months back and it was pretty cool. I didn't try the food but it also looked good.

My friends and I don't go to that place after this time where a friend was wearing a hoodie (with hood up, cause she was cold), and a security guy told her she had to put the hood down because it didn't fit with the "aesthetic" of the establishment or something to that effect. I'm sure other places have that same policy, and I'd imagine they're all born of the same somewhat morally-vague intentions.

Bakersfield has dece quality, but their tacos somehow got even smaller coming out of the pandemic.
I take this back, I was there the other night, and aside from the tacos coming out lukewarm at best, the shells also tasted old and chewy.

Coop De Ville has been mentioned a few times in this thread recently. Okay-ish food. Duckpin bowling, some arcade machines, pinball. It's bro-tastic on weekend nights but apparently if you go during the day or for an early dinner it's not as bad.

There's also Shorty's on the North Shore. Also duckpin bowling. I think there's also a couple bocce ball courts. Tacos are what you'd expect in a trendy taco joint.

I've been to both of those and they're on the list. Anyone been to pins mechanical? Or how about the curling spot in millvale?

Saw it. Booked solid. Guess we're going to try pins mechanical. Probably be packed but at least it looks huge and if it is well just find something else in that area.

Says it's open. I just realized it's the st paddy's day parade weekend. I'm hoping Southside works will just be normal crowds and everyone will be heavy in Southside and market square...
