Well that's a shame because I'm fairly positive thats the only BBQ-style joint between Cranberry and downtown.

(Would be very happy to be proven wrong)
You wrong.

I keep forgetting that place is a thing. I think it's mostly because it never looks like it's open and is in that weird section of 19 that has nothing on it.

I haven't been there yet, but I really want to go. The reviews are good.

Mitch's BBQ is fantastic. The pork rinds are some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend the brisket and ribs.

Coincidentally, went to Mitch's BBQ for the first time tonight with by brother and SIL. They specifically wanted to generate leftovers so they wouldn't have to cook for the next couple days, so we ordered darn near the entire menu except for the chicken thighs (they were out): brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, pork belly, pork rinds, sausage, beans, coleslaw, potato salad, mac & cheese, sweet-potato cornbread, and kimchi. Everything was absolutely delicious. I thought the brisket, ribs, and pork belly were particularly good, and I was also impressed by the sides. Potato salad and coleslaw are often ruined by being drowned in sauce, but both were done very nicely at Mitch's. I've never even thought of adding sweet potato to a cornbread, but that was really good. I'm going to have to try to make that myself. Highly recommend Mitch's BBQ.

Not after my yesterday's dinner at Benvenuti's Ristorante in Norman, Oklahoma (http://www.benvenutisristorante.com/ ). :D

That it was the best steak I have ever eaten (porterhouse) goes without saying...

This is a public service announcement:

The Porch (Oakland location) offers IC light on tap. For $7. No word on if you get 7 12 oz cans for $7 or just one pint for $7

Who the **** do these people think they are? Who has the audacity to charge $7 for ic light?

Back when the Sharp Edge was still around, in addition to all of the Belgian beers, they would always have Coors Light on tap at an outrageous price, and when I once asked a waiter about it, I was told that was specifically for yinzers with no taste for good beer who would come in and ask for it.

Speaking of sharp edge, I was a big $4 mystery beer proponent during the latter years.

Also, happy hour with half off drafts, that was the time to go.

@NAN @Kane there’s a new, pretty good Mediterranean restaurant in Gibsonia. Emily’s Turkish Mediterranean Grill near Barrel Junction. Just had the chicken döner and it was delightful.

Mrs mac opted for... Condado taco. Like, I get it. But my queso and tacos rival theirs. And aren't $5 each. Oh well

Thumbs down to Fogo de Chao downtown. Also, was surprised by how many people eat there before a Pens game.

Re: tacos, I've enjoyed my visits to Gordo's on Mt. Washington. They're a little pricier but they're around double-size, so it works out okay enough.
