I had to kill an hour before my wife's improv show last week at the theater below Highland and went to Patron. It was kind of ****, but also perfect in a way.
Been to that same exact one, and have the same exact impression.

Also, forgot we had that improv conversation a while back. Guess your wife stuck with it, haha.

She actually just recently got back into it. This theater does well to create grow its community, shes getting involved in more stuff and they have it set up so that people can transition in to more things from the classes. I still can't imagine doing it.

Mrs Tif is an alumni of LA Connection and did two classes at The Groundlings. So that's fun.

In pretty much every measurable way, Mrs Tif is superior.

When she wears heels she's taller than me. Unless I'm wearing my gown up shoes.

And considering she actually does color her hair, the answer to the latter would be an eye-firmative.

My guess her superiority in that regard comes from the fact that she doesn't touch the boiler.

Home sick for the day, so tossed leftover kebabs into leftover red gravy. Throw in cold medicine and I’m unlikely to make it through the game.

The one area where I am superior is cooking. I will give myself that, so thank you for your pep talk earlier.

Having lunch with the wife and a friend at Bakersfield this afternoon. The wife wanted Mexican and this looks close enough.
This was good, particularly the Cubano Tortas. All parties were satisfied, service was attentive as well.

Shady Side? If so, stick to street parking. Whatever you do, don’t park in the Chipotle plaza and walk over. The bastards will tow your car. Sons of dodints.

Also, get the fried brussel sprouts.

id recommend going down greenbrier or lehigh (parallel to highland) and park there. you can probably go 2 hours without a ticket.

I've had a lot of success finding spots in front of the armory. The worst plan is trying to find a spot on highland between alder and center.

I think they key is to concede that you are going to have to walk a little bit. The nightmare scenario is driving along the main strip there multiple times because you didn't find a spot and have to backtrack through that ****..
