I’m in Columbia, md all week. The food options aren’t great, but I saw a little taco stand on my way in, and I figured I’d give it a shot.

First: there were about 10 people in line in front of me... every single one of them was Hispanic and speaking Spanish. I look around and I’m the only gringo in sight. That’s probably good news.

I got 4 tacos for $8. Chorizo, beef tongue, beef head and pork skin. They were absolutely incredible, and I had a small lunch, so I went back for 4 more. Tripe, carne asada, al pastor, and something called Cecina which I’m super glad I just ordered it and didn’t look up what it was because it was delicious and I wouldn’t have ordered it.

If you’re every down this way, stop in. Taqueria los primos is the name of the place.

The tongue was the best by a mile. I know shad highly recommends the one Indian place in town and I was planning on going there for dinner tomorrow, but I might just head back to the taco truck. Lol

It's sun/air dried beef, right? If I'm remembering the Bizarre Foods - Austin episode correctly. Why wouldn't you have eaten that (if you looked it up, first)?

Because a beef jerkey taco doesn’t sound appetizing. But it wasn’t like jerkey at all. Was quite edible without much struggle.

I’ve only had Edgar’s tacos at events, not from his stand or he restaurant location he had for like 6 months. They’re fine; suffer from inferior tortillas. Las Palmas in Brookline remains the best place in the city to get tacos. La Catrina in Beechview was a great, authentic Mexican place but they shut it down to just run a truck. I have not yet had tacos from Alquisiras Paleteria in Beechview, but everything else there has been excellent.

I don't understand why its always a ghost town. plenty of places to eat well in squirrel hill, but not plenty of places to eat a sammich.
Are they down to 3 now? Robinson, Waterworks, and is the one in Oakland still open? I work near the one in Robinson and there are days where the line is literally out the door.

I hit up the one in Squirrel Hill earlier in the summer and they seemed just as busy as the one near me. Of course that was right at lunchtime on a Friday.

I've made squash and black bean tacos before... they had cumin and a bit of cinnamon in them. Is that kind of like pumpkin spiced tacos? If so, they were delicious. If not, they were still delicious.

Pumpkin spice is cinnamon, clove, ginger, and nutmeg right? One of yinz instapoters should try that as a rub for pumpkin spice carnitas.

If any of you are ever in Huntingdon (lol), visit Boxer's. Got to revisit my favorite pub from college, the beer selection is amazing there and the food is solid too. Known for their fresh cut fries and beer-battered stuff.

Went with my family to Superior Motors for my mother's birthday. She wanted to go somewhere new. Really good experience. The food was great, and the place was packed even though we went for a later 8:15 reservation.
