Lobster roll at eleven was delicious
Eleven is expensive, but worth the price. It's haughty enough to make it a destination restaurant, but good enough to make it worthwhile. It's Monterey Bay (I know it's not seafood) without the pretentiousness, but still the same pretentiousness, which makes it palatable...if that makes sense.

Hooters!

(I'd use those before they go belly up. Heh)
I know, they aren't doing well I don't think. I've actually always enjoyed their food (no, really). Used to love their wings back in the day.
A friend of mine looked up the calorie damage from their wings awhile back and it's something ridiculous like 900 for 5 wings. He told me that and I immediately flashed back to when either Station Square or Monroeville had All You Can Eat wings after the Penguins games. I'm 99% certain during one visit that I probably polished off 5000 calories in a sitting once you factor in the side of fries and the additional pitchers.

I probably shouldn't be too proud of that.

Anyone ever eat at Mike and Tony’s Gyros? They are opening a location in Moon in the former location of Burford’s Kitchen, formerly the Ground Round.

My personal favorite gyros. I do not like cucumber, and M&T use a sour cream base sauce as opposed to cucumber base. They also use a good rotisserie meat as opposed to what I refer to as "steak-um" gyro meat.

The original store in the Southside is old dirty... but it doesn't matter, you get them anyway. $5.50 each including tax.

My wife waited a bit too long to make reservations at the restaurant she wanted, so we're going to dine at Alihan's Mediterranean Cuisine tonight. I have no expectations so it should go well enough. I'll let you know.

"Come Experience The Taste Of Turkey!" for a slogan is probably starting on the wrong foot, though.

@dodint check out North Country restaurant when you visit Slippery Rock with your wife. The food is fantastic and the beer used to be really good until the fired the head brewer. The beer is still good but the new head brewer sucks, Firehouse Red is a safe bet.

My wife wants to go. Food trucking has jumped the shark so I'm kind of hoping we're on the back side of this, generally.

Food trucks are wonderful...for example, the one outside Brew Gentlemen is great because you can easily grab some quality grub without really leaving the premises. Food truck "parks" are indeed jumping the shark.

Food truck park seems like it would be hipster central.
