He's a painfully bad host of anything, and I don't like him to succeed...I wish him failure and destitute sincerely...

Ethan is alright. Sometimes his rapport with his girl is awkward but sometimes it's great. The vsauce interview was decent. Doesn't he have a speech impediment and some neurological issues with his eyes or some ****?

I see on reddit that Elon Musk smoked a blunt on Joe Rogan’s podcast yesterday.

Serial season 3 sounds like it'll be fun.

Dr. Death is terrifying.

Thanks, that does look good. I like that they're proceeding as if Season 2 never happened (read a quick article/interview about Serial 3 and they barely mentioned 2). I'll probably binge it all in October when I drive back up to St. Paul.

Wow, I just had to think really hard about what the hell serial season two was.

Also, Linda Tripp is interviewed on this weeks' Slow Burn. JFC, she is bat **** crazy.

listned to dr death driving to and fro bedford springs. i am particularly interested as it touches my daily work. while i do think that duntsch was a real piece of **** and deserves whatever punishment comes his way due to his lack of selfawareness and disregard for human well being, there was a complete and fundamental breakdown in his training and credentialing. i imagine the university of tennessee is shitting their pants a little bit after putting somebody through their fellowship program who was completely unprepared from a clinical standpoint. the medical staff credentialing process is also at fault here for not having a rigorous oppe/fppe to check in on this guy (i imagine it would be a little difficult since he was right out of fellowship, but there should be a degree of proctoring in a situation like this with such a highly trained surgical subspecialty).

very interesting story

Great. I loved Season 1 but had absolutely no interest in 2. There is something about Koenig's voice that is incredibly soothing/satisfying for long car rides.

The Spotlight folks at the Boston Globe have a podcast series out:

Gladiator: Aaron Hernandez and Football Inc.
Football star Aaron Hernandez went from the bright lights of the Super Bowl to a convicted murderer in a few years. The Boston Globe’s Spotlight Team, best known for its investigation of the sexual abuse scandal inside the Catholic Church, takes a hard look at the crisis facing football through the lens of Aaron Hernandez’s life and terrible crimes.

From Wondery, the podcast team that brought you Dr. Death, Spotlight asks: Did a brain badly damaged by football contribute to Hernandez’s violent behavior? Did he keep secrets about his sexuality that collided with a hyper-masculine football culture? Did elite coaches and teams look the other way as Hernandez was spiraling out of control?

Spotlight uncovered new documents, audio, and interviews to go deep into the story of what happened to Aaron Hernandez, and what it means for those of us who cheer on a violent game.
On the one hand those people are the real deal and should put together something great; on the other hand I don't want to listen to 3.5hrs of apologizing for Hernandez.

If anyone gets to this before me I'd like to hear your thoughts.

We started the Aaron Hernandez Podcast after finishing up Serial season 1. Only through one episode, but it's good so far.
