Yeah, if you watch a lot of football, you see that commercial (and Lily from AT&T, and Cicely Strong with Verizon, and Jake from State Farm...) on repeat all weekend

I'm certainly not gonna complain about seeing more Cecily and especially more Lily.

Someone's spending a ton of money on commercials for Jesus lately. Like NFL playoff game spot money.

I happen to be a (not very good, admittedly) Christian and my thought is- does Jesus need advertisements or could that money be better spent helping those less fortunate in the community?

I vaguely remember MLB parks having those ads as well. I know PNC had them.

Speaking of ads that aren't needed, USAA on every commercial break for NFL games is a bit over the top considering thev relatively small number of people eligible for their insurance. This coming from a USAA member btw

not sure about other denominations but the Catholic church is a bonafide corporation. and they're losing membership aka dollars. hell yes they need to advertise

Former 25 year member and they do offer services for the general public now.

The Scrooge one at least made some sense as a limited holiday thing. (It wasn't really any better as an ad, but still) The Einstein one is just odd.

I can't say I hate it, but I've heard some Total Wine commercials on KDKA recently. There's isn't a Total Wine within 250 miles of Pittsburgh. I think the closest one is in Maryland. Even given KDKA's large broadcast area (especially at night for AM), that seems like an odd commercial to run here.
