How much and how frequently do you consume caffeine?

I quit caffeine about 20 years ago, and rarely have any now. I used to drink 10+ cups of coffee every day plus a few Cokes, now I mostly use it medicinally - maybe a cup or two a week. If I'm really tired or have a bad headache, I'll have a little.

I have a large cup of black coffee in the morning and one in the afternoon which I often don't finish.

I like iced tea or water with dinner and have almost completely stopped drinking sodas.

I used to drink coffee all day when I worked in an office. I don't really miss the volume. But I do like the taste.

When I drink it I get an acute 'itching' feeling in my eyes. It's kind of like dry eyes from allergies. It lasts about two hours per can. The affect might be amplified by the fact that I stare at a computer screen 9 hours a day. It's not painful per se, but uncomfortable enough that I'd rather just drink water.

At work: a zojirushi insulated mug that holds half a liter....about 16 oz. this gentleman also drinks three 24 oz water bottles of water at work. That equates to four bathroom trips at work.

Then at home, another 32 oz of water.

Multiple cups of tea (black, green, oolong, white, etc.) while at work M-F. I generally don't consume caffeine when not at work. Also, the amount of caffeine I get probably depends on what tea I'm drinking. For example, oolong, pu-erh, and some white teas can be steeped multiple times, so when I'm drinking those I often measure out one batch of leaves and re-steep them all day using repeated short steeps. Black tea is much more of a single-shot proposition. So I'm probably getting more caffeine when drinking black than from drinking oolong because I use fresh black leaves each time.

Zojirushi stuff is expensive, but they make some of the best small appliances out there. I love my Zojirushi water boiler.

I might have a Rockstar to start the day two or three times a week. Beyond that, rarely have anything outside of Coke as a mixer. But when I do indulge, I tend to binge.

I get cherry Dr. Pepper when I go to places with the funky Coke machines. Otherwise, I've more or less eliminated caffeine. I drank way too much of it in college, to the point where if I didn't drink it after my 8:00 AM anatomy lecture, I would start feeling like I had a head cold. I go through phases of cutting it out completely when i notice that ive been consuming too much. I decided to cut back today until i clear out the pepsi in my fridge and then eliminate it again.

M-F minimum of 3 cups of coffee, 1 when I wake up and then I bring a 16 oz mug with me to work. Thankfully the coffee we have in the office is meh at best or else I'd probably drink it all day long. I'm on about my 8th cup today. On the weekends it varies greatly, I always have at least a cup, but sometimes I feel like drinking a whole pot. I'm also at the point where I don't even drink it for the caffeine, I can drink it right before going to bed and sleep normally, I just love the taste.

I don't drink any pop/soda, so anything I get is only from coffee.
