Grandma came home with some new hardware in her hip this morning.
The Hospital wanted to speak to her PCP. She hadn't been to the Dr since 1984 with a ruptured hernia. So getting through the discharge was fun.
Luckily my mom, aunt, and uncle are all retired / unemployed at the moment, so she will pretty much have them live there with her for a while.

I've come down with an illness. Fatigue, a little bit of a cough, slight headache, slight nasal congestion, and some GI issues. Called my doctor's office at UPMC to run everything by them, and while they thought the chances of me having Covid-19 are low, they said I could have a referral for a test if I wanted it, so I'm going to the South Side tomorrow to get a test to make sure.

I got tested last week because I was in contact with a person who tested positive.
Thankfully my test came back negative.
Hoping the same Shyster.

My wife owes a $40 co-pay each time she goes to radiation. Which is 20 times this month for the full course of treatment. Yay.

Woke up with the tension headache to end all tension headaches. Almost feels like I'm hungover.
Any easy remedies? I tried a heating pad for 20 minutes but I'm still getting the pain stretching over my entire head.
Neck did this again last night. Was out of commission from like 730 until 9 this morning.
I need to get back to the chiro

Getting sick during a pandemic has been my fear - playing the is it covid or not game. I've gotten an earache today which is the first time since I've had swimmers ear like 15 years ago. It's not a covid symptom but still annoying. Hopefully it doesn't end up being as big of a pain in the ass as the time I had swimmers ear, that was misery

Anyone here crack or break a rib? If so, can it make your whole side hurt and make sleeping a huge pita?

I cracked two ribs after some asshat ran me in a bantam game. I slept in a recliner for about two weeks and chewed 800 mg Tylonel like they were tic-tacs. On the 15th day, I felt 100%. It was weird. I was also 15 years old

NTP66 - Ha. I can't blame this one on Somerset. Last Thursday I was cleaning some detritus from the gutters. After I finished I got two feet on the ladder when it kicked back and I fell onto the deck. Not one of my finer moments.
meow - Thanks for the info! Nights are rough. I'm a side sleeper and any time I get close to rolling onto that side it just screams.

I had ribs inflamed/separated from my sternum after a car accident. (Costochondritis)
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costochondritis
That was miserable. Hydrocodone was my only friend.
And yes broken ribs are all you described.
