This was so rough that I'm going to schedule a morning visit for my next check up to avoid her.
Woof. It does seem like sometimes if you get a random hygienist, they are just in a bad F'ing mood and want to take it out on you

Oh, she was in a very cheery mood. She was just too thorough.

So far this year I have:
-A $975 ER claim ($100 deductible) for my wife to be at the ER for ~14 minutes and get told 'it's probably your gallbladder, here's a script for an ultrasound'
-A $295 coinsurance + $30 deductible (likely $1000+ going to the Dr.) for lil mac to sit in a room at an allergist for 3.5 hours and eat cake. (He's allergic to milk and this was his first 'food challenge). They used a finger monitor and checked his pulse and O2 every 15 mins. Other than that... nothin.

Healthcare in this country is so screwed up.

When I got the bill for my colonoscopy/endoscopy last year, I couldn't believe how much they charged. Might as well have hooked an IV line to my wallet.

I think we're going to hit our annual out of pocket for 2020 by the end of the month.

Wife had a VERY productive surgery today. They were unexpectedly able to perform a procedure that enabled them to do a lot less cutting and eliminate the possibility of several negative outcomes and side effects. About **** time that woman catches a break. :thumb:

I managed to catch my daughter's cold just as it was ending. I'm more annoyed at the fact that I won't be able to drink coffee for at least 3 days.

Coffee seems to irritate my throat more. Plus, I basically switch to hot tea with honey to help with the sore throat. I've gone through about 40oz of it today, and have been in the bathroom damn near every 20 minutes.
