Are there other GI symptoms, such as vomiting or diarrhea? If it's just pain and fever, that could be a sign of more serious stuff, like impactions, infections, etc.

That is the absolute worst. That feeling when you are under four comforters and still shivering.. BlahWoke up at 3am with excruciating stomach pain. Went to work anyway because of a prod upgrade, and had to bounce by 9am. And now I’ve been shivering for the past hour or so even though it’s warm inside. I’d rather break my arm all over again than deal with stomach pain.

I was planning on going to either urgent care or the ER last night if it got worse, but an hour or two after I posted that the shivering stopped (thanks heating pad and 500lb blanket) and I started to feel better. All seems to be well this morning outside of a pounding headache.

You should google your symptoms, should take care of that headache.

Uuuuggghhhhh
I need my wisdom teeth removed...
Merry Christmas
To make it worse they're starting to decay and becoming somewhat painful.

I had mine removed two years ago and didn't have one instance of pain. Keep up with the prescribed painkillers if you can. I also opted for anesthesia, which I think helped psychologically.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Are they in? I had my uppers pulled 10 or so years ago. I have a mild (or major) fear of anesthesia so I just did Novocaine. It was actually super easy. They were out in less than 5 minutes. Maybe less than 3. I never took pain meds afterward (another irrational fear) and really don't recall much if any discomfort.

Oh geez. I can't imagine being given the option of anesthesia and choosing to stay awake I had anesthesia and it was great. Didn't have much pain afterwards either.
I'm surprised it took them this long to tell that they needed to be removed. That is usually something determined in early adulthood?

I've never had anesthesia. The idea completely freaks me out.

I had my wisdom teeth cut out around ten years ago under blissful sedation.

I have a big jaw - aren't they usually removed for space? Guess I had plenty of it. They're starting to decay badly which prompted the diagnosis.
So my dentist didn't say anything about anesthesia... My wife and I both go to the guy. And as I'm leaving I thought hmmm... She went somewhere else to get them removed. He doesn't do anesthesia. So, I gotta call him tomorrow because no way am I not going under.
And they're not "in" (assuming you mean not exposed)

Me either, but the idea of getting my wisdom teeth pulled while awake is even greaterI've never had anesthesia. The idea completely freaks me out.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty scared too. I hadn't had a tooth pulled since I had baby teeth. It really was shockingly easy for me. Hope yours goes as smoothly.

twenty some years ago i had an anesthesia experience that still blows my mind. it was for a colonoscopy. i was laying on my side and they put a mask over my face. after a bit i say something along the lines of 'i'm not feeling anything/i don't think this is working' and the nurse anesthetist says 'you're all done'I've never had anesthesia. The idea completely freaks me out.
doctor chimes in with 'you're good to go'
I didn't remember a thing - literally 40 minutes of my life went by and there was no interruption I could perceive. blew my mind
anyone know what that was? I've been told several times

Do they numb you with anesthesia also?
I couldn't imagine the amount of novocaine I'd need if so. I took like 5 shots of it for a root canal.

Had a similar experience when I tore my labrum. Anesthesiologist says, "we're not giving you the good stuff yet, just putting in some medicine" and next thing I know I'm in recovery. No dreams, no nothing. Just a block of 3-4 hours of my life, gone.twenty some years ago i had an anesthesia experience that still blows my mind. it was for a colonoscopy. i was laying on my side and they put a mask over my face. after a bit i say something along the lines of 'i'm not feeling anything/i don't think this is working' and the nurse anesthetist says 'you're all done'I've never had anesthesia. I passed out in Afghanistan once. It wasn't for a long duration like what you guys experienced, but the interesting thing about it to me was when I woke back up it was like my brain had gone through a reboot sequence. I had a high level of clarity and felt completely rested. I wish I could harness that power for good as I felt great for a while.

The unforeseen upside to spending most of the last month in and out of the ER and Urgent Care and four doctor's appointments: I'm under 200 pounds for the first time in around ten years, and my wedding ring fits again. Woohoo.

Me too but it was 10 days and it took me two or three days to remember anything from the last fives years. I was so drugged up most of it is a blur. I do remember a woman shaving my face and that was strange...Had a similar experience when I tore my labrum. That's like noting a parachutist whose canopy fails to open does not die of a 12,000-foot fall. They die from a 125-mph impact with the ground.
