I woke up with a horrible sore throat, mucus, etc. Actually took my first COVID test in a while, negative, so I guess I just got my daughter's cold.
I somehow avoided Omicron when it was in our house (thanks booster) and the norovirus from hell three weeks ago, so I am going to suck it up and just be thankful it's just a cold

Woke up on Friday with what appears to be trigger finger on the middle finger of my right hand. If I clench my fingers to make a fist and then open them, the middle finger will stop and then "pop" before fully extending. I have no idea what might have caused this, and from what I've read, it doesn't seem like doctors have a good handle on what causes this, either. I suppose I should ask my PCP for a referral for a hand specialist. My mother also had problems with trigger finger, so maybe there's a genetic component.

My mom has trigger finger also. I think she gets an injection for it but no long term fix.

Shyster can you Ghost your own middle finger, a la Mike @GarandThumb?

Sort of, yes. The "pop" is at the same point in the finger's travel, although it doesn't happen every time.

Had an appointment with the medical device dept at my cardiologist (that place must rake in the money) today and they were successful in returning RF (wireless radio frequency) to my defibrillator so it can now run checks daily and send alerts to the cardiologist if anything isn't working as expected. Cool technology.

Well, Lexington Medical is a great hospital, particularly for cardiac patients. I'm 90 minutes away if you need anything.

I hate being in the hospital. Nice private room but like a soft prison.
