I like to call that "kinetic energy poisoning."

Our daughter came home at lunch time yesterday with a fever, by about 2 PM it was around 103. She also has/had a red, somewhat bumpy rash all over the front of her torso. I am wondering if it's roseola. Perfect timing for my mom getting in for her annual trip up last night.

I was in bed with her from about 10:30 until 2, since she didn't want to be alone. The final straw was when she gently woke me up at 2 AM and politely asked, "Daddy, can you please try and stop snoring?" At that point, I handed the reins over to my wife.

It could also be eczema or ringworm. Neither come with a fever though.

Just finished up my first ever abdominal ultrasound. At the Ob/Gyn. What fun. Good news: It's a boy (still)!

Got some side-eye from other patients when the nurse called my name and said she'd be doing my ultrasound. I was like "mind your business, pregnant lady".

He said: 'I think quite frankly there are a lot of men who would love to be able to carry a child.'

So my dad ate a dubious burger for lunch yesterday and may have food poisoning, my sister yakked at work and had to come home, and one of her cats ate something it shouldn't have and started yakking all over the dining room.

Ah, happy holidays.

Went to the eye Dr today and told him I have been seeing colorful lights and zigzag lines around the edges of my field of vision occasionally. Come to find out I get migranes but I don’t get a headache with them.

He told me it is nothig to worry about, thank my lucky stars I don’t get the headaches and enjoy the light show.

Trippy.

I got a Vava "oral irrigator" (aka water flosser) for Christmas. Decided to give that baby a spin last night.

The good: My teeth have never felt cleaner.

The bad: Holy sht, the blood. My gums looked like something out of a horror film. I guess that means it works

Actually, I think it means you have gum disease.

Go to the dentist every six months. Just went three weeks ago. My gums are fine.

Still getting new medical bills. Today, $800 some dollars for the "brain" rehab place they sent me to when they released me from the hospital. The charges were $20K.

I actually got a water flosser recently myself and finally used it tonight. You basically have to use it blind and with your mouth mostly closed unless you want water spraying all over the mirror. Seems to do a nice job, though.
