just heard one of my favorite stories of all time that involves someone with an aicd
she just had aicd inserted, was in room on nasal cannula oxygen. she was eating cheetos and watching tv. the tv show was getting her... excited. she dropped the cheetos on the floor and took her cannula off and pulled her ipad out. she started watching some adult content and was... helping herself. after she was done, she started smoking a cigarette. her heart rate made the icd fire. she dropped her cigarette on the floor. it landed on the cheeto bag which was next to the o2 cannula. the cheeto bag caught on fire. she started stomping on it to extinguish. burnt her feet so bad she had to get admitted to ICU.

Just take the aicd out. She does not deserve it

So got an emergency referral to an ENT. Went yesterday, and she was super nice. Said I (probably) wasn't dying and gave me a referral to a dermatologist for what looked to her like a staph infection.

The dermatologist informed me that their first available appointment is March 12th.

Is it normal to be completely run down by staph? I'm not extra sleepy or anything like that, but..... I mean, there's just nothing in the tank.

When I had staph I was busy 60+ hours a week with college and work, then spending what time on the weekends that I could with my gf at the time so I didn't have much energy as it was.

I almost... almost don't want to go home right now. My wife has been sick for the past week or so and it's to the point where not only am I taking care of a 7 month old almost single handed, but I'm also taking care of a 31 year old baby. The worst part is that it's non-stop complaining and not allowing me to help. I get it, you're sick, you want to dodint about it, but if you're going to dodint about it and then shoot down every single thing I try to do to help, well... just keep it to yourself.

I also don't ever want to hear the phrase "man flu" again after this nightmare.

Woof... That's maddening. Add in a 7 month old and that's a recipe for a blowup, lol.

We have this issue - not enough dermatologists. My son needed to get a skin tag removed, and it was six weeks to get an initial appointment and another two months to get it removed, which happened during one of the hurricanes we had this fall. The makeup appointment is in February...made back in September.

I've had a couple tags/moles removed - by a plastic surgeon. It was a few weeks wait for an appointment. The dermatologist would have been something like 6 months.

If it’s a routine skin tag, any provider should be able to handle that. Even a mid-level provider

I had a couple skin tags in my armpits that were annoying me, so I sterilized my big nail clippers in Barbicide, hit the tags with some alcohol, and snipped them off myself. No doctor needed. #cowboyup

I am allergic to the medicine I was prescribed for the rash on my temple. Head to toe, I woke up today and looked like I had measles.

I'm winding down the steroid pills, which now I take a half pill for a few more days. I took it at eight this morning, and I can still taste it... So gross

Woke up at 3am with excruciating stomach pain. Went to work anyway because of a prod upgrade, and had to bounce by 9am. And now I’ve been shivering for the past hour or so even though it’s warm inside. I’d rather break my arm all over again than deal with stomach pain.

Might want to get that checked.
