Thanks everyone. I found out one of my daughters took a photo of me in the ICU which I can't imagine doing but times change I guess.

I still need to find and scan that photo of me with Mike Bullard from 1982 or so.

This is why I don’t like swimming in fresh water lakes.

We were at a friends graduation party for their son several years ago, and it was at a park in Oakdale. There was a creek next to the pavilion where all the kids 7-8 years old were playing and stirring up the silt in the creek. This was right after one of these deaths happened...one every few years. I was very anxious.

I got crushed by this last week. Muscle ache, fever, nausea, etc. Creeped in Thursday, destroyed me Friday, by Saturday it was already burning off and Sunday I was back to normal. Good luck.

Yup that's pretty much it. Hit me last night around 10. Miserable. Thanks. Just a really busy week or two for work and a girl under me has been off with her sick daughter, and now this so the timing isn't great at all.

Heading down to see my grandma at AGH after work. She took a fall in the yard Monday and broke both her fibula and tibia. She got surgery yesterday from around 2 to 830 pm. She's a tough old bird, even after suffering from a major stroke in 01.

Sorry to hear LBL. Good vibes to your grandma.

My mom fell and broke her fibula back on July 3rd. She is still recovering in an assisted living facility trying to be able to walk on her own again. She had other medical issues too, but it's a slow process.

Hoping she's OK LBL. My grandfather lived 20 years after a major stroke, and had broken his arm after and had other falls as well. They don't make them like they used to.

Thanks guys. I'm sure she's doing well. My concerns are the medical staff being able to contain her. The recovery process is what has me concerned the most. She's 81, and already has double vision due to the stroke, but mentally she's still sharp. Thankfully my dad lives close and he was an exercise physiologist, so he should be able to help.

They definitely don't make them like they used to. She survived the major stroke in 01, then between 2012 and 2014 she lost her husband of 50 years and her two sisters all to cancer. A broken leg isn't going to keep her down.

My throat was feeling a little scratchy for a week or so, nothing major. Just there. Monday eve I got congested and a very sore throat. All day yesterday, my throat was annoying but I wasn't very congested at all. Today I'm extremely congested and have a pretty bad cough, but my throat doesn't hurt any more. Such a weird cold.

The slightly scratchy throat is the worst because you know the pain train is coming.
