Most definitely. ~41 lbs this year. Kind of also feels like I'm not even trying hard enough, but I know it's an achievement.

That’s a whole 5 year old! You lost a small child.

Do you ever experience any swelling? I would get a little swollen from time to time and just chalk it up to "I ate too much salt" but maybe this was the cause
I was getting it from meds I was on. Calcium channel blockers for high blood pressure so I had to wear those compression socks. Went back to the dreaded beta blocker and the swelling went away.
Over the last month and a half-ish my dosage if the CC blockers has gone from 2.5-5-10mg with little lowering of BP. I have definitely noticed an increase in swelling in my feet now. Asked to have my med regimen changed. What's bad about the beta blocker...?

Dowj another 12 lbs since it started, despite the swelling which has to be contributing to weight. At the lightest weight I can remember since 2009ish.
Shortness of breath and fatigue mostly.

Went to the doc today. She said she's okay with my BP being a tad bit high since I'm losing weight and instead of changing up that med regimen she's putting me on ozempic to continue losing weight. Reevaluate in June. Feels like it's cheating but I'm hopeful it helps

Let us know your experience on the magic weight loss drug.

From what I understand it's basically an appetite suppressant.

Sounds like it just makes dieting a little easier. I haven't noticed anything yet. I'm still trying to stick to a 2500ish calorie diet.

Right, you'll eat half a sandwich and feel full.

Pink eye in both eyes. Thankfully already have the antibiotic drops from our son having it earlier this week.

Ozempic experience from reddit:
After starting the 0.5mg/week dose, this is where it all went downhill, fast. The side effects came on hard, fast and strong. If I ate more than say half a sandwich at a meal, I would become so overwhelmingly bloated that I was burping constantly (like literally two big burps every 3 minutes for hours). On top of that, at this point it made my burps smell and taste so ungodly disgusting (think straight sulfur plus an outhouse at a nascar race in summer at the end of race weekend).

Additionally, there were three times in a two week period that I became so bloated that it made me vomit - a lot; and I'm not exaggerating that it was complete projectile vomiting, out of my mouth and nose. It was an absolutely ungodly horrible experience.

As if those side effects weren't bad enough, it also gave me horrible, uncontrollable diarrhea that met the clinical definition of "severe". There were a few days where I couldn't leave the toilet for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. There was one night I fell asleep on the toilet, because I was so tired from getting up to RUN to the toilet to poo.

Hard to projectile vomit if you've only eaten half a sandwich. My guess is that person was bingeing and is leaving that part out.

Day one and I'm already forcing myself to eat a little bit. I've probably consumed 600 calories today and have no appetite at all. A soft beef taco for lunch, a bowl of Greek yogurt with some PB powder, and a salad.

I'm kinda mad. I've gotten really good at making good food but keeping it low calorie with smart substitutions. I like food lol

600 calories? That’s a bit extreme. 1600 maybe but I’d pass out from such low blood sugar at 600/day

600 calories a day is no bueno and borderline dangerous long term. At least drink some protein shakes if you are not hungry at all.

It’s weird they put you on ozempic when you were doing fine without it making smart food choices. I’m not a doctor though.

I was on Glipizide for my diabetes. She took me off that and replaced it with Ozempic. I've been pretty obese my whole life..

Also, I just ate dinner so at least doubled caloric intake for the day. It's just a pretty weird feeling. I'm sure my body will adjust.

Yeah not a doctor so not questioning it. Just seemed like in this thread you were doing good recently with food choices to lose weight so the switch to ozempic seemed a bit weird to me.

Especially if you are now only consuming 600 calories daily. Your body needs more than that …much more even when losing weight. It’s not like you are on my 600lb life or something lol.

No believe me I know. I'm just saying this is day 1 on it and it's a very weird feeling. I'm not trying to make a habit of this. But I forced myself to eat dinner.

I should also do a better job at tracking calories. I'm probably understating them.

Yeah underestimating is easy to do. I do it a lot. The only time I was able to not do it is when I was weighing everything.

In any event good luck and keep doing what your doing.

About 2-3lbs give or take this week. Definitely felt like the shot worked for about 48 hours then didn't really notice much of a difference. Second shot tomorrow.
