Does anyone use milorganite on their lawns?

I'm thinking of using it this fall and then overseeding the new parts of my lawn.

Or should I just get some pure nitrogen fertilizer?

I do. The fine people of Milwaukee have been fertilizing my lawn for years.

Having bought my in-laws house from the estate I now own about 12 gas cans because my FIL was a pack rat. A bunch of them are 1 gallon cans.
I am late to the party here but I absolutely LOATHE the new California-driven eco-friendly gas cans. They are generally shtty and a total pain in the ass when trying to hoist a five gallon can to fill the riding mower.

I haven't used my new one with gas yet, but tested it out with water to see how it functioned. I'm loving it. Construction is very sturdy, and the handle/valve isn't flimsy.

I would love to treat my yard, but we live on half an acre and it is all grass outside the house. I have to buy a ton of seed, treatment, etc and it takes a long time.

Found milorganite at the local agway for $11 per bag. Surprised at the price! By the book I should have used 17 bags per acre. I couldn't imagine putting that much down. I put down 5 bags and then immediately reseeded. Hopefully this rain the next few days will help the seed take off.

I estimate I did like an acre though when all Said and done. Regardless I still did a walk behind spreader

Having a hard time finding it around here. Nine calls with nothing. Home Depot several miles away says they have 5 bags. Placed order online, but no guarantee it will be there when I get there.

Even though it was still pretty wet out there, today was the perfect day for mowing the lawn. Sunny, cool with a breeze, and no **** humidity. I think this will also be the first year at this house where I don’t overseed the lawn, as it just doesn’t need it.

They suggest you reapply on Thanksgiving, just FYI.

I can already notice my grass looking a little thicker/greener, I think the milo coupled with overseeding is doing the trick

They say Labor Day and then Thanksgiving. Since I just did it this weekend, do you think I'm still ok reapplying Thanksgiving weekend?

I would. I think you're fine. It shouldn't burn out, it's designed not to do so.

I am a convert to battery powered lawn and garden tools.
Late last summer I demoed a Husqvarna 40v li-ion suite(string trimmer, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, and blower) and was able to keep them afterwards. It’s so much nicer than having to mess around with mixing gas & oil, and so easy to use my 12 yo boys can use them without much supervision(except the chainsaw). I’ll never go back to gas.

I agree completely. I have a battery operated mower, trimmer, blower, and pole saw. Fantastic.

I don't really have a choice at the country house, have a gas powered riding mower there.

I've got a lithium ion powered string trimmer, but I'm not giving up my Honda mower or my Hitachi leaf blower.

Finallly got around to finishing the leaves in my yard, as the final leaf pickup is next week. Started bagging them when I remembered that I had a tarp in the garage. Made quick work of the leaves, and filled the entire length of my curb between my house and my neighbor’s.

Today was our last pickup day. They didn't show. Now there is 15 bags of leaves at the bottom of the driveway.

If they don't show I am going to light them on fire.if they ever dry out.

Do they use one of those giant vacuum trucks in your area? They do here, which is why our pickup has been delayed a week. We had quite a bit of rain last week.

If they did I imagine we wouldn't have to bag them. Their requirement, not mine.
