I feel like that Roomba would be good if your yard was the size of a postage stamp and you had no trees.

I saw one of those Roombas in a little demo setup at a Lowes last fall. It was repeatedly bumping into the side wall.

LMK about the mower - my dad's looking to buy one. If you're talking Latrobe, we're within 20 mins.
Looked at it today. Was able to do some research. Couldn't take pictures but grabbed the make/model. It's from 2006, MIL must have got a used one when she traded down.

Product page: https://www.troybilt.com/en_US/riding-l ... TP766.html

Found this walkaround video of the same model:

Title of the video checks out.

If this is the kind of thing your Dad is after I will try to grab some pics in the coming weeks. Once I get past March 7th my schedule really opens up.

It seems like a big small mower, if that makes sense.

Just mentioned to him today about it actually. Yeah, he'd be interested. No rush on the pics, I'm sure you've got a ton going on. Next time you're down there send them over. Thanks!

Tulips have started to poke through at our house. No garlic, hops or asparagus however.

My new grill has spent the entire winter in my garage. Do I risk jinxing the weather by moving it to the patio next weekend, and then swapping my snowblower and lawnmower?

I just trimmed our bushes and crape myrtles. Spring has basically started in Oklahoma.

It's a grill, it is supposed to be outside.

I'd keep honeybees if my FIL wasn't allergic to them.

I'm kind of surprised wasps has never become a more common team name.

I need to show this to my son. He is terrified of bees to the point his favorite season is winter because there are no bees.

Despite his fear, he is still fascinated by them and is constantly asking me about all the different varieties of bees and which ones sting.

Since there isn't much to do, I think this old guy might go for a first tomorrow. Got both mowers out and running today. The Stabil additive seemed to work well. Changed the oil and sharpened the blades on the rider. Electric trimmer also seems fine. Tomorrow is suppose to be warm and sunny. Looking to be the first old guy in the neighborhood to cut the grass.

Source of the post The Stabil additive seemed to work well.
An old post of mine:
It is - go to any Home Depot or Lowes and you can buy ethanol free gas in tin containers in the lawn and garden section, though it's pricey.

I've mentioned this in the past, but I will never, ever use fuel stabilizer in any of my equipment ever again. The dye they add crystallizes and will gunk up every single part of your carb - ask me how I know. I switched to tin gas at the big box stores and haven't looked back.

Thanks for the info, guess I may have just got lucky. At least everything seems fine for now.

I could just be in the minority. I found others online who experienced the same, so I just stopped using it. If they would just get rid of the dye, I'm sure I'd have been fine.

:thumb: I did the same about three weeks ago. Can already see the grass seed germinated and is starting to grow in many of the bare spots.

I mentioned to my wife that I'm shocked nobody has mowed their lawn in the neighborhood yet. I'll assume the dueling lawn caretakers across the street have succumbed to the virus already, no other explanation.
