What's your sugar to water ratio? Are you changing out the nectar frequently?

I forget, but have it written down. Same mixture that I used last year, and we saw a ton of hummingbirds, and I do change out the nectar every 2 weeks. I'll just keep a better eye on things. We had many more flowers at the time, and right now our garden is somewhat bare thanks to the tulips all finishing their short run.

Change every 3-5 days, 4 to 1 ratio.

My backyard has a brick patio and walkway that is a real hassle to keep clear of grass and weeds growing up between the bricks. Eventually we're going to just cover it with a deck. As it is it takes a really long time and almost a full spool of trimmer wire to tidy it up. Is there a 'best' weed killer to use for this? Preferably something that won't kill my dog.

Douse it with boiling water or a jug of vinegar with a cup of salt added.

A quart of vinegar mixed with 4 oz. of lemon juice, or 1 gallon of vinegar mixed with 1 tbsp. Of blue dawn dish soap.

Market on Middle lost their retail greenhouse, the health department invited them to pound sand with it.

So we bought from that place on Route 8 just south of the good Giant Eagle. BUT, they didn't have any good basil, dill, and a few other bits and pieces we wanted. Anywhere else to go around here that has quality starter plants? We're going to check Lowes and Home Depot but if there are local greenhouses I'd be happy to look there.

Check out Bakerstown Feed and Garden Center. Super friendly and will probably have what you are looking for. They have their dog just roaming around the store, also friendly.

Maybe call ahead. They def have seeds, not sure about starters. Just found out they have a Glenshaw location, which may be closer to you.

Yeah, the Glenshaw one is right here. Looked on Streetview and they have a greenhouse there, unless it's full of flowers we should be in business.

Our seeds are already in, putting the starters in the ground this weekend.

That's as bad as me recommending mikey to buy a house to do laundry easier.

Not so fun fact... when I was wee lad, I visited my cousins in Hermitage and we went to see the Christmas display at Kraynyaks. We wrote our names on a Santa List chalkboard and apparently they sprayed a laminate over that board and to this day, young blackjack's autograph is still in that Christmas display. I'm 50 now.

Lol I haven't been to the holiday displays in like twenty years. That's great

Anyone have first hand experience with this stuff:

https://www.amazon.com/Dimex-EasyFlex-L ... ape+edging

4.5 stars on Amazon with 800+ reviews, but I'm skeptical it will be any good.

I used the ProFlex brand from Home Depot (same design) for my garden. It has held up well over three years now, and I haven't had to go back and secure any of the nails. Did you have a specific question in mind?

Two thhings concern me
I will be using mulch, so it won't be 'heavy' to hold it in place.
My ground is not perfectly level, so it seems i may have issues with the edging staying put. Not to mention it's kind of rocky also.

I have topsoil and no mulch, but you could always put a layer of topsoil on the bottom brackets, possibly sloping it up from the inside out. Even so, the spikes that come with it are fairly long, and so long as you're securing them into solid earth, you should be fine. Which leads me to your second concern - clear out the rocks from directly under where the edging will go, and replace it with dirt. If you try and secure edging with spikes into rocks, it's just going to hold securely.
