Chipmunks ate my first plantings of corn, then 70% of my second planting. I’ll have 1, maybe 2 stalks.

Grew them 3 years ago and it’s really hard to tell exactly when to pick them. Like, you have basically a one week +\- window to pick them at the right time. I think I left them on too long last time.

Please report back with your results c2i. Interested to hear how yours turned out

On the other hand, I have about 8 green bean plants going and it’s coming out of our ears. Can’t give them away quick enough. Should also get a decent crop of jalapeños. Have a few pumpkins going and of course the hops. May end up with close to 10 oz of dried Chinook this year

My best tomato year yet. The squirrels ate a lot of them the last few so I did them all on my deck this year. Not only are they neat and manicured, but also bursting at the seams with pristine fruit. I'm happy

Knowing when to pick is the toughest. I went by the silk. When it gets a touch crispy, pick it.

My daughter and I had an ear each the other night. They were tasty. Well worth it. Now to see how the later ears turn out.

I know I answered you before but I snapped a pic the other day:

I'm surprised how much it has filled in, but it's a long way from its former glory.

It really feels like they should lop off that bottom limb. Seems very out of place

That way she has time to buy a second round when she kills the first ones.
At least that's how my wife rolls.

Haha truth. They only last as long as they do because I'm the one who waters them lol.

We pulled out some tall grass and planted zinnias instead in front of the house this year. Great decision, they look fabulous.

Last year I went all manual. I'm borrowing a buddy's electric Thatcher this weekend to do most of the lawn.

Rented a power rake from home depot today and did this. I'm sore but good day.

-mowed to 2.5"
-dethatched horizontally
-dethatched vertically
-used leaf blower to clear the mess and composted it
-will overseed tomorrow

I believe Talstar P is what I used several years ago during the first wave of breakouts. Did a decent job keeping them at bay.

Thanks. Just treat the perimeter of the house? or on vertical surfaces also? I know most say do not spray on vertical surfaces, but I had to yesterday. the Terro spray in the orange cans seems to work half decent for me but I want a multi-pronged attack.

I see talstar P has Bifenthrin. That's what a lot of folks are suggesting online also. I will use that, thanks again.
