A coworker gave me a Juliet tomato plant this spring since she is getting ready to sell her house and didn't think she had time to plant and maintain a garden. Fast forward 4 months and I've picked at least 200 of these delicious fruits and it's still producing more. From one freaking plant.

I had planted other larger variety tomatoes, with varying results. Blossom end rot has claimed a few plus the occasional split in the skin resulting in a swarm of little ants. With the larger tomatoes and the Juliet tomatoes, I've already made 2-1/2 quarts of tomato sauce and 6 pints of diced tomatoes. I've also made 4 tomato and basil pizzas. I still have about 10 pounds of Juliet tomatoes in the refrigerator ready for processing. My garden is absolutely rocking it this year.

Today so far I’ve canned 4 quarts plus 3 pints of salsa. Working on tomato/spaghetti sauce right now. Hope to get 3-4 quarts of it.

I’ve picked approximately 50 lbs of tomatoes this year. Next year will be scaled back quite a bit.

Anyone have any experience with the SureCan gas container? The spout on my old 5g Blitz cracked, so I need a replacement.

Spend the extra $ and buy an Eagle galvanized Steel Type I or Type II gas can. They come in 1, 2, 2.5 and 5 gallon cans.

Having bought my in-laws house from the estate I now own about 12 gas cans because my FIL was a pack rat. A bunch of them are 1 gallon cans.

Did you reimburse your BIL for his percentage of ownership of them?

No need, when he looted the place before and after my MIL passed he opted not to take them. Nice of him.

I did send his childhood BMX bike to the dump, that was nice.

In all seriousness do you still need a metal detector or did you find your survey markers? We have one we're going to donate that you can have to use and then keep and/or donate.

You should’ve sent him to the dump instead of the bike.

I actually had a surveyor come out earlier in the summer. He said there's so much metal in my ground that he couldn't find them with his metal detector and had to find them via GPS coordinates and somewhat random digging. Thanks for the offer though!

That was the other one I was looking at. Honestly, the spout location of the molded can kinda sold me on it, so I grabbed one. I'm probably not even going to use it until next spring, since what I have left should be enough for mowing season this year.

Is there a rural king in your area? Their "not a gas can" gas cans are great. Because they are "NOT RATED FOR GASOLINE" they have a nice vent and long nozzle.

Again, do NOT PUT gasoline in there.

Yeah, that spring is pretty beefy. I'd probably just replace the assembly.

I put nine bags of cut grass on the curb on Saturday after finally being able to mow my lawn. It has rained so much today that I'm pretty sure the trash guys are going to pick up the bags and have the bottoms just break open.
