Couple of **** losers. You would think Reed was married to prime Pam Anderson with the way he lets that manipulate horse faced psycho rule his life.
Pretty much.

she doesn’t manipulate him as much as I think they’re meant for each other by being miserable griefers

I was right next to Reed during one of his drives at St. Andrews. He hooked the crap out of it and after the drive mumbled “**** you, everyone”. He’s a douchenozzle through and through

I've mentioned this story before but given the current situation, I'll re-tell it...

A few years ago, I was working Travelers and something had come down from the Tour about some policy, I don't remember what it was, PED's or something. Anyway, I see Reed on the range working toward the short game area and we've been friendly in the past at tournaments when he's seen me with a Penguins hat on. So I go up to him and see if he'll talk. He looks at Justine and asks her if 'we have time for that'. She says yes and he does the interview. I was a bit taken aback when he had to ask her if there was time given that it was a random Tuesday with no real schedule.

Had a three-putt for par today, after hitting the best approach shot of my life. Love golf.

The approach was a 230yd 4i from the right rough that pured right down the middle and rolled the last 40 yards to pin high on the green, about 25ft from the hole. First putt was too hard, second was too soft, third was a tap in. *sigh*

Lolol that's essentially the judge saying "this isn't pressing".

Remember the 4 iron. That's a pro level shot.

It looked sooooo good. I thought it was short but it caught the slope and ran right in. Felt good.

RIP to a true golf stalwart. Love his course design philosophy.... Reachable Par 4s, done correctly, are the best

The leaks coming out of the players only meeting are pretty underwhelming.

That bounce that Cantlay got on 17 was insane. From bogey to birdie. Was pulling for Stallings.

Player stipends, some kind of compensation despite missing the cut, increased purses, are all things I can get behind, but a separate tour or a "tour within the tour" that features 18 high purse, no cut events with the top 60 players is just LIV with PGA branding and will nuke the other tour events.

the other events are qualifiers for the main series basically. It's fine - we get so many watered down fields now, at least they'll mean something and we should get the best players together a little more often. If this happens

also they all have to play 3 "non-elite series" events a year.. which, won't be much different than it is now

I've always thought the PGA had too many events to begin with. I assume it's an F1 situation where the tour gets paid by the venue to host, so the incentive to make the schedule smaller isn't there. But if they contracted the PGA tour it would give the players a shorter season and the fields would be better.

It would also be fewer weekends to conflict with other tours. I know Norman has a giant stick up his ass and would still schedule events against the PGA to be a dick, but he'd have even less credibility.

I think sponsorships and tv deals are a bigger part of this then the clubs’ contributions. In fact I don’t really understand the concept of courses paying the tour because it’s not like they’re open to the public (at least a lot of them are private)

edit: ok I guess they make good money from fans attending the event

Got to play some competitive golf last weekend at our office "ryder cup" event. 2 teams, 2 v 2 scrambles, winner gets a point, most points at the end wins. We did it last year at Lakeview resort, which is just a trash course, but dirt cheap. This year we spent more money and did some eastern ohio stay and play thing, you stay at some random strip mall hotel and get booked on two nearby courses. Less convenient but the courses were both nice.

My first match came down to the last hole where we pulled a birdie out of our asses to win 2 up. Then the second day was just a mismatch, I got paired with one of the two low hcp golfers, and we won 7 and 6.

I thought doing leagues last summer would scratch that competitive itch, but those did nothing for me, need to try to figure out a way to play more outings like that.

Links at Firestone farms and Kensington golf club. Big fan of the former, kind of hated Kensington, too many blind tee shots
