These all seem like good things
Yes, but it’s difficult to get too excited for any SW announcement.

New Ashoka Teaser Trailer

Looks awesome. Can't Wait.
This feels like a live action cartoon. I’m not saying that as a positive or a negative, just an observation. It has a much different look from the other series/films. It also feels like the cartoons are a prerequisite. I’m not sure if you guys know this, but that’s not super appealing to me.

1. Thrawn!

2. Don’t make her a Jedi please. He separation from the cult is what makes her unique.

Would be a perfect time for a return of the true theatrical versions but I doubt that happens. Still, what an awesome poster.

I know you aren't into the cartoons, but I do know you enjoy a good story. While getting through the first season of Rebels won't be up your alley, I promise the payoff is worth it. There is some great story arcs in the show. I know this won't persuade you, but I'm not passing up and opportunity to try and sell it again.

Good. I've really enjoyed the Bad Batch.

My assumption is they all end up dead by the end of the season since you don't hear from them or see them in anything in the future.

Finally caught up on Mandalorian. This season isn't doing it for me at all. It's every bit as bad as Boba Fett. If it wasn't for the good faith earned by the first two seasons, I think this season would be getting a lot more hate than it is. Chapter 22 may be the worst yet.

 Might as well. Watching Mando feels a lot like when I tried to watch the cartoons.

I can't be the only one noticing a huge dip in quality with S3, right?

I think the issue is there isn’t a unifying goal. First 2 seasons. Goal was get the kid to the Jedi.

I’m really digging the Bo story line but it doesn’t have a clear goal. Something as big as unifying Mandalorians or going back to Mandalor is super cool but doesn’t fit the “Space Western” smaller stakes foundation the show established in seasons 1 and 2.

Heck the sidebar into the rehab program was really good IMO. It wasn’t Mando though.

I think not having Mando with an overarching goal is what hurts this season the most.

I agree with all of that. It seems to be spinning off the rails a bit - probably creating future IPs to literally spin off into games, cartoons, or shows.

I also didn't like the comments from Favreau where he said the show could go on forever, especially with the core cast only having to do ADR in a studio (because of the helmets etc.) and not having to be on set. It's like the Simpsons.

The older I get, the more and more I like planned arcs - a beginning, middle, and an end. Succession feels "better" knowing the writers are winding things down this season. Lost got better once an endpoint was announced. Ted Lasso probably as well, but we'll see.
