This has been my complaint from the start with nearly every EV - 99% are cost prohibitive. And even if they weren't, most of them look like ****.

If you're into the Mick Jagger/Dieter from Sprockets sunken cheeks look, sure. Looks very anorexicI can't believe I'm even saying this, but aesthetically speaking, this is pretty sharp looking

The ICE version doesn't have over 500HP. These are for wealthy or stupid people.woof, $45k+? It will take a lot of gasoline to make up the price delta between the ICE and electric Blazer. ICE Blazer starts at $33.4k, so $12k+ for an EV version? I get the environment and all, but that is a huge chunk out of people's wallets for the EV version.
I saw photos of the Toyota Crown, and said the same thing. Where is that vehicle even slated in the Toyota lineup? Is it a Camry replacement? Toyota has tons of models anymore.

They're picking up lines from the Vette, IMO. To me, I prefer this over the bloated look I see with a lot of other SUVs.If you're into the Mick Jagger/Dieter from Sprockets sunken cheeks look, sure. Answered my own question, it's replacing the Avalon.I saw photos of the Toyota Crown, and said the same thing. Where is that vehicle even slated in the Toyota lineup? Is it a Camry replacement? Toyota has tons of models anymore.

Toyota finally sells the Crown here and we get the dumbest and goofiest version.
Based on my observations, the Toyota Crown is by far the most popular car for taxis in Japan. There's a million of them all over the place, usually driven by grumpy old men who've retired from their salarymen jobs and drive taxi to supplement their retirement income.

lol my Bronco arrived at the dealership, despite having an original delivery date of the 27th
of course it gets delivered while I’m in Europe. Oh well. I’m gonna be driving a Bronco next week. Huzzah

Hopefully they don't sell it for a big markup to someone else since you can't pick it up.

That is an actual problem worth preparing yourself for.

@MalkinIsMyHomeboy, when do you pick up the Bronco?
We expect pics.

Yeah I’ve been following this stuff and it’s happened a bit. Same with dealerships applying a $10k markup when the person goes to pick it up
I trust the dealership but ultimately if they want to make a quick buck there’s nothing I can do about it
If there’s one thing that Tesla has done well it’s too avoid the dealership model and sell directly to consumers. I’m betting we’ll see this more commonly and it’s a good thing because dealerships don’t really have a place in the internet age (at least when ordering from the manufacturer)

NHTSA finally issued the final version of the rule allowing low-volume car manufacturers to produce up to 325 turnkey replica vehicles every year of cars that are more than 25 years old. The new cars' powertrains must meet current emissions, but otherwise they are exempt from crash tests, airbags, etc. Not only does this mean that replica companies like Factory Five can now offer fully-assembled turnkey versions of their kit cars, and low-volume companies like Caterham don't have to sell their cars as rolling chassis without engines, but Ford actually could produce up to 325 vintage Broncos each year, so long as they drop in a modern engine like, say, new Coyote V8 with full emissions. Which would be pretty darn sweet.
At those low volumes, alas, I'm going to imagine the cars would be way expensive.

Right. That's going to be awesome...for some doctors in Scottsdale.
