we had an OG tempurpedic and it was great but once I hit my late 40s, it slept hot as hell. we got a Casper sometime in 2020 and love it.
the worst thing about having a mattress like tempurpedic or sleep number is having to sleep on other things when you travel.

We bought a higher end Tempurpedic about 4-5 years ago and still love it. Definitely runs a little hot, but that's foam in general. Tempurpedic's highest lines with 'cooling' were too stiff for us.

I am a recreational drone pilot. when it comes to drones, "cheap" is a broad term. for me, drones are all about the photography.
I started with a Snaptrain that I bought off of Amazon but it was so cheap that there basically had to be zero wind so I gave it to my brother and upgraded to a Holy Stone:

not bad but after a few months I wanted a better camera so I upgraded again to a DJI Mavic Mini:

it's a great little drone for the money and because it's under 250 grams, doesn't need to be registered with the FAA.

I still wanted more though so my SO upgraded me as a gift last year and this is now my current drone:

I got this combo with the smart controller (you don't have to use your phone as a screen) on a crazy deal last year of $1200.

the photo and video quality are both fantastic and I'm able to fly in some pretty substantial wind.
@shoeshine boy: Still recommend the DJI Mini? I'm looking to grab a Mini SE 2

Is the Fly More package really worth it? Honestly not sure that I would need 90 minutes of runtime.

Something nice about having the tree up with a full month until Christmas.

We get ours from a guy that gets them from just north of Cabela's in Hamburg. What a huge difference in terms of needle drop/longevity.

As I've gotten older, I'm definitely more concerned about unexpected needle drop. Longevity, however, is nowhere near the issue it used to be.

So very strange thing happened this afternoon. My wife wanted a quick lunch and threw a chicken patty in the microwave. I don't eat them, but she'll nuke them for 30 seconds then air fryer them. Don't ask...I don't understand it.

Anywho, throws it on a microwave safe plate and hits the button. 5 seconds in and it's 4th of July in the wave. Sparks and burning smell. Hit stop immediately and open the door. Very strong burning smell. Basically reacted as if we put metal in there. Pull everything out, unplug, check the inside, check the plate, all good to go. Fill a glass with water and pop it in. Fine. Pop the plate sans the patty. Fine. Cut up the patty... nothing. I actually busted out a magnet for the patty pieces but couldn't find anything. Tried a different patty and it was fine.

Microwave is fine this evening. So...wtf?

It’s just weird that it took your microwave exploding to realize how gross microwaved chicken patties are.

I've known that my entire adult life. This woman's mind, however, (along with mikey and dodint's), have no tether to understandable reason. She's attracted to me, ffs. And although I'm definitely above 'microwaved chicken patty' on the food pyramid, I can still see them in my rearview.

Do you have a microwave with a rotating plate/try situation? Sometimes they can get misaligned on the rotate-y bit, and the plate/tray can come in contact with the interior side walls. When that happens Frank Drebin will appear and tell you to disperse because "there's nothing to see here".

Please have the common courtesy to not ask me how I know this.

Nope. Plate was centered. Only possible explanations that I can come up with is microwave malfunction...on chicken patty decepticon.

Did you dissect the chicken patty afterwards? Maybe there was a piece of metal left in there at the microwave chicken patty factory.
