Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about the train.

I'll avoid smelly homeless-looking barefoot bareassed hobos, but friendly Gingerbread Man here is not a deterrent to my ass claiming that seat.

My ex gave my youngest a $40 gift card to Starbucks and she's trying to get me to buy it from her for $40. I'm good.

I wouldn't even want that for $30.

Offer her $20 and sell it to someone else for $30.

I've never been a fan of over-roasted or expensive coffee. Wawa is better and cheaper if I have to buy brewed coffee.

I like Tony's idea.

Starbucks is like a damn cult. I saw a line 40-50 deep at the airport in Orlando this morning. Is something THAT good that you’re gonna stand in a line that long? Now, if it’s efficient like a Chic-Fil-a drive thru line, then ok.

My wife likes their PSL, and the only thing I like from them is their caramel brulee latte which is only available for like one month. Their normal coffee just isn't good.

I enjoy their cold foam cold brews. lattes aren't bad but for regular brewed coffee, there are cheaper, better options.
I use the app and order ahead whenever possible.
I don't go near the frappucinos. if I want a shake, I'll get a shake.

If we're talking coffee and we're talking chains, Starbucks beats Dunkin and Tim's easily. When I lived in Squirrel Hill and Dunkin & Starbucks were both a short walk down the street, I would still go to the smaller local chains like Commonplace or Crazy Mocha. Their coffee is just better. Though if we were in the mood for a PSL, it's obviously Starbucks.

I avoid Starbucks in airports at all cost just because the line is always bonkers.

Comparing a local shop to an international chain doesn't seem all that fair. That's like wondering why a Big Mac isn't as good as a burger from Tessaro's.

Yeah, that wasn't really directed squarely at you given your caveat. I don't even drink coffee but the local shop is so good they found a particular type of coffee that works for me. That's not something any chain is going to bother to do.

my local does a Bourbon vanilla latte that's insanely good. being a small business though, their hours are more limited than Starbucks.

We have several hundred of these guys quietly buzzing around the lawn every day. They are really chill, despite being wasps, and don't make those annoying ground nests like cicada killers do.

https://extension.psu.edu/blue-winged-w ... real-asset
The female digger wasps burrow into the soil and attach an egg to a grub, often Japanese Beetles, or June Bugs, which then will consume the grub as the wasp larvae, grows and matures. If you have been battling beetles that are attacking your plants in late June through early August, then rest assured you have some allies if you see Scolia dubia in your garden or production area. As predator and parasitoid, populations usually peak after the prey population has grown significantly. Numerous Scolia in the vicinity indicate there must be a significant population of prey insects available.

based on this picture and where this chef set up, I don't think I want these guys coming to my backyard:
