The most "luxurious" item in that list is the $50 Amazon knife set, so...

I want at least three of those knives...just because you're more successful than me doesn't mean you get to have more things... :pop:

lol... I actually like the AmazonBasics set. It's not Wüsthof quality, but the price is hard to beat for the average person.

I have two cans of Rustoleum Satin Chestnut Brown Paint, some Wagner perforated paint rollers, and a short handle bow rake coming from Amazon this week. All items I 'need' but were not available locally. I did find that paint in a spray can locally but I need to roll it on.

I have something from AmazonBasics in my kitchen...I recall not being disappointed in it, whatever it was...but it was probably a low-end item to begin with...my "cooking" - a liberal use of the term - exploits are partially documented here...

Interesting. When I think AmazonBasics I usually think of AV/computer cables. I had no idea they made kitchen stuff.

They make a mean chicken patty roaster.

Amazon makes just about everything, and they're continually branching out into new areas. I use their knives, Lightning and USB cables, chargers, rechargeable batteries, and a few other things that I can't think of at the moment.

I buy food and TVs from Amazon.

Pantry is great, especially if you can get a shipping voucher. Cuts down on the time spent wandering around real grocery stores. The downside being that their stock is pretty inconsistent. My wife has been waiting for their tuna snack kits to come back in stock for ages.

TVs are the one thing that I'd be hesitant about, to be honest. I've ordered two sets from them for family members, and both times we had major issues with the company that they use for delivery (technically, not really an Amazon issue). The first set arrived 2 weeks late and damaged (Amazon took off $300 from the price), and the second set also arrived 2 weeks late.

I had Amazon deliver a 32" to Afghanistan. I kept the packaging and then I mailed it back home when I was finished and it's now on my wall in the bedroom. LG rules.

I feel like there should be an 'All things Amazon' megathread of some sort.

I thought of that but I don't think it would stay on the front page. Didn't we have a Prime Day anti-climax thread?

I think it was more due to the offers being underwhelming. There was definitely a lot of buzz leading up to it.

Wasn't one of the 'deals' a huge 4K TV that cost tens of thousands of dollars and was being offered for $1 less?

I just remember it being completely random and useless stuff that they must've found in the back of the warehouse. Spindles of CD-Rs, packages of Post-It notes. Just rubbish.

IMO, their downfall was hyping up Prime Day too much. I snagged a few things that were pretty damn good deals, so it wasn't all garbage.
