The football playoff should have been 12 to 16 teams to begin with.

Win your conference and automatic bid, even the mid major conferences. Then have two to 6 at large bids depending if you wanted bye weeks for the the top 4 or not.

You would think people are denying the Holocaust the way the babies at Texas react.

They are the highest valued program property in college football and have their own tv network yet never find themselves in the playoff conversation. They should stfu.

Edit: used to be. Now they are 2nd to A&M. Who should stfu too.

Vandy TE Turner Cockrell has died after a year long battle with melanoma.
Cockrell, 21, died at his home in Acworth, Georgia, surrounded by his family, according to Vanderbilt spokesperson Larry Leathers. No funeral arrangements have been determined.

Vanderbilt players were told of Cockrell's death in a special team meeting around 5:30 p.m. Coach Derek Mason, who was out of town on a recruiting trip, told the players via live video.

Cockrell was diagnosed with melanoma in his lymph nodes in November 2017. He had surgery in December to remove the cancerous lymph nodes and underwent radiation treatments for 20 weeks. In July, a body scan revealed that the cancer had spread to Cockrell’s lungs.

Speaking of The Citadel, they play their big rivalry game against Charleston Southern University this weekend.

As all teams do, they release infographics with stats and so on about the upcoming game. The sports information director decided to nonchalantly call Charleston Southern "Ladson Southern" because technically the campus is well north of Charleston. Ladson is about as swanky as...Steubenville.

Interestingly enough, one of the sports info people at Charleston Southern is Nick Case, who was/is a Pens blogger.

FIFY ;)

43-14 win for The Citadel.

That's a pretty solid burn though. It's like when the Navy told me that Nuke training was in Charleston. What they really meant was that Nuke training is in Goose Creek, which is a shithole outside of North Charleston, which is a shithole outside of Charleston. That entire area is "swanky as Steubenville". Ladson, Hanahan, Goose Creek, etc. Passed CSU all the time when going to Summerville, which is a preferable area.

I completely forgot that the PAC-12 championship game was last night. Congrats to Washington on getting the honor to be blown out in the Rose Bowl.

The Pac 12 game was an interesting one. Two great defenses in that conference. Only touchdown of the game was a great pick 6.

Even with one leg, he may be better than what they are dragging out there now
