Drive-inI think we're going to be taking my 3 year old to see Finding Dory in the next few weeks, for her first movie in the theater. I can't wait to see the movie, but am worried that she won't be able to sit still for that long.

That's brilliant - she's got a pair of over-the-ear headphones that she uses on flights, so I think that should work.@NTP66 I would recommend getting some kid sized noise canceling headphones. My kids are very sensitive to loud noises, and the commercials and trailers tend to be much, much louder than the film. And of course the movie is very loud for toddlers as well. We've had ours for years, and my 10 year old won't go to a theater without them.
@Pavel Bure: No drive-ins around here, and even if there were, I'd rather just stay home and watch the movie.

There is a Dark Tower thread. I don't say that to correct you, but to point out that interest in that movie nose-dove so hard when details started leaking out that it probably can't sustain a thread anyway.

I wondered if they were making another one of these.

Interesting. I liked the first one better than I thought I would.

Awesome. I love the first one for some reason. Cobie Smulders is hardly an adequate replacement for Rosamund Pike though.

Oh no question. I personally have little to zero interest in it myself. It won't even be an adaptation by the time it is said and done. There is a Dark Tower thread. My wife and Uncle love them, I have the first one (Killing Floor) under a pile of books yet to read, but from what they say, they are fast paced thrillers with a lot of action, nothing outstanding, just fun easy reads.Source of the post Are the books worth reading? That sucks I just know it worked really well with my son, 2 year old, he sat on a chair in the back of his uncles truck and watched all of inside out. If he would have started fussing it would have been very easy to occupy him without interrupting others. Still a lot of times they're just amazed at the huge screen. I can't wait to have the official theater experience. That's brilliant - she's got a pair of over-the-ear headphones that she uses on flights, so I think that should work.@NTP66 I would recommend getting some kid sized noise canceling headphones. Its one of our favorite movies. We can watch it any time. Clue and Princess Bride are in that same category.

You would probably not enjoy it. And I don't mean that in a snarky way.

Unrelated to this discussion but I wish movies didn't stack themselves on the 4th of July weekend. My theater is small and movies come and go so fast they're easy to miss. I want to watch the new ID movie, and then grudge watch The Shallows because I can't pass up a good/bad shark movie.
