I just never pictured Tarzan as a scrawny dude, which was my reaction when I saw an ad for it on youtube the other day.

Yeah, it makes sense. I mean in the Marine Corps that guys that couldn't lift a pack could do 45 pull ups. I've just never seen it depicted that way.

I don't have any stake in that film, just an off the cuff hot take.

It's one of the movies on my radar this summer for sure.

I'm excited to see that Bourne movie after it hits HBO. The Star Trek jam is the only Hollywood !# on my list for the Summer.

The Witch was creepy, well acted, well written, and disturbing. Not sure how I made it past the first 15 minutes.

My wife didn't make it much farther than that. I really don't watch new horror movies anymore, but when something of this quality comes around, it gets me thinking about some of the classics in the past and makes me want to revisit a lot of things.

Are you rewatching any John carpenter flicks getting you ready for the big show?

Bummed.

Finally got around to trying to buy the Interstellar score. Not sure I've ever actually purchased a score.

Turns out Sony released a cut down version of it and never released the most famous song from the movie, the docking scene:

Eat a dick, Sony.

That's ridiculous. The music in the docking scene put me over the edge of my seat. It really sticks out to me as one of the few times a movie's score enhanced the movie for me.

No idea why I thought it was Sony. Probably because they're terrible.

It was released by WaterTower/Warner Brothers.

I can't recall who it was that mentioned him in other thread recently (maybe @NashvilleCat?), but I have an entire playlist of John Williams' stuff (among others in TV and movie) on my iPhone. It's phenomenal.

Just to close the loop, the track is Imperfect Lock on Disc 2 of the second deluxe edition, the Illuminated Star Projection edition which seems to have been a limited release as it's sold out everywhere.

I haven't stolen an mp3 since the Napster days, but if I were going to do so this would be the time.

Somewhat timely, Youtube Red offered me $.99/3mo trial yesterday and you can download videos. Need to see if they can play in VLC or if they have to be played in Youtube.

*shrug*

I'm riding my motorcycle from WI to KY next weekend and I've been enjoying instrumental music lately. A track like that is great on the road.

That soundtrack was in the very first BMG Music Service "11 CDs for a penny" that I ever did in like, 1995. Also had a Kris Kross, Ace of Base, Counting Crows, and the soundtracks to Reality Bites and Beavis & Butthead Do America.

lol, nice. And - for the record - that song is awesome, and I fully support its use in motivational scenarios.

When my wife and I decided to climb the 6 billion stairs at Diamond Head two years ago, a large group of people near us seemed a little spent as we got to a section that might as well have been completely vertical. Took out my iPhone, cranked the volume and turned on Eye of the Tiger. It was hilarious to me, but every last person in that section hauled ass up those stairs.

Google Play Music has it under "Deluxe Edition." Good stuff, thanks for heads up on it. I've been into soundtracks a lot lately as well...I find the Marvel superhero films' score to be great background music at work. And anything by John Williams, of course.

You're a prince, DG66.

I searched Amazon first because I nearly always buy mp3s from there, then did a Google search and quit. Amusing since I use GPM as my mobile music player now. I still use iTunes to coordinate the library though.

It was me. During game 3 I was at an outdoor concert here in Nashville. The symphony played John Williams' music from Jaws, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Superman, ET, The Witches of Eastwick, Hook, and Harry Potter.

Amazing performance of great music. The only thing that saved that night.

I smell an Emmy. Or the monkey. Same difference.

That chimp was great. Best moment in a Geico commercial.
