I found out I have access to ancestry's library. I don't know how that differs from normal ancestry.com, but I'm kind of excited about having that kind of access. I already found out that one of my great grandmother's occupations was "servant", and my one great grandfather wasn't from Germany like we were told my entire life. He was from the Czech Republic, but went to Hamburg where he promptly immigrated to the United States. Kind of cool.

I understand the "why" of the Mormon's love of ancestry, but when we visited the library out in Salt Lake, they were so incredibly friendly and helpful at allowing me to find things I didn't even know existed. My grandfather's WWII draft card, for example. Highly recommend a visit, although their "regional libraries" have a lot of the same stuff and the website has a lot of it too.

yeah, this stuff is fun. I got it through my Aunt and found out one of my ancestral grandfathers married a Salem Witch!I found out I have access to ancestry's library. I swear mother-in-laws just exist to drive men crazy.
I've been planning a surprise birthday party for my wife. It's this Friday. I have this extremely elaborate, yet very believable lie going, with about 10 different people, one of which is my MIL. Basically, she's 'watching' our kid while we go out with my brother and sister to the place of the party for drinks then possibly going to a few other places (which obv wont happen). My wife has ZERO clue that this is happening. I literally bought tickets to a real event Saturday to make her think that it was the ruse for a surprise party, but she realized it actually was real and got depressed for a little bit
Every Monday my wife and sister (who work together) go to my parent's house to eat lunch with my mom, who watches our son.
MY MOTHER IN LAW KNOWS THIS.
And decides that 12:00 noon is a great time to call my mom and chat about this Friday's event.
And my wife saw the phone ring and it was her mom and she's like "wtf?"... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

We visited Kruger NP back in 2010 and did a guided drive thru safari. My wife has to riss like a pacehorse, so the guide stopped to let her leak behind the vehicle. He told me to go back there and I asked if it was for her protection. He said no, just cover her up, I have you protected (as he pulled out his 10 gauge).

There is an annoying new thing in Chrome all of a sudden, every time I click a Twitter link it takes me to a page with this message:
The only option is to click "Yes", which takes me to a crappy 2000-like version of the website. I have always had JS enabled in Chrome with the quick JS switcher, so not sure why it's doing this all of a sudden. We've detected that JavaScript is disabled in your browser. Would you like to proceed to legacy Twitter?

As a yoga doer, I recommend doing yoga in the morning. I know classes are few and far between in the early - pre-work AM - morning. It's like a seeing a chiro. Do you want to see one right before a big physical activity or right after a big activity? Most likely after, no?I went to a yoga class last night, but this morning i'm very irritable and annoyed. this is not how its supposed to work

Do you find yourself to be more calm on days you go to morning yoga
Randomness Dos
The owner of my wife's yoga...den...gym...room?... passed away last week. She was 57. Not sure if they're planning on selling the business to someone or what.

Tough to tell. I do it everyday, so that's the new baseline. I'm also generally a very calm person, so I'm not sure.Do you find yourself to be more calm on days you go to morning yoga

I did yoga (AM) for like a week, about 5 years ago. I wish I had stuck with it, because it seemed to wake me up and get me ready for the day much better than anything else does.
