Welp, my county is back in the high transmission level, so masks are going to be required at school starting next week. Just in time for the class trip next Thursday.

Yeah, my friend in Cincinnati just came down with it along with his wife...I'm happy this wave held off until we got back.

LA County downgraded to Medium risk. Masks indoors again. (Once again, we never really stopped so same old same old for us)

While cases have tripled in four weeks, we're still below 4% positivity rate and under 10 daily deaths. And guess who is (still) making up nearly all the severe and fatal cases.

(We just home tested negative this AM)

This is the second time I’ve seen that ticket today, and I have no idea what it’s for.

So... It's finally happened. My hardcore anti Vax mother in law has COVID. She feels terrible... My wife is pretty sure she wants to treat herself with ivermectin.

My brother in law texted her husband and asked him to make sure she doesn't do that and actually goes to a doctor. We'll see.

Not a bad idea for someone who is symptomatic though, right?

Oh ****. I took off work today and I missed the 5-11 recommendation. Never mind me. Last I heard, that recommendation wasn’t supposed to come out for two weeks. Booster away

What about the new antivirals? Are they being given to covid patients?

Based on the articles I read the other day, some are. I know there are one or two new ones, but can’t speak to them. I believe you were referring to one of them? The pfizer one.

My pediatrician has had their own separate covid clinic open since day 1, and continues to run it for all ages. They created an online scheduling form making the process a breeze.

Overheard at my daughter’s soccer game today:

“All these kids testing positive for covid, they probably just have colds, man. We should just let it go through everyone so we can be done with it.”
