Well, Miller was a free agent, but you are still correct.
That comment was meant to include the limited salary commitments these players have as well

Haha, Dodgers deal Puig to the Reds.

Your move, Pirates.

This move makes no sense for the Reds and does not really make them much better.

It’s a good trade for the reds. It’s also good for the dodgers to dump puig and kemp. They have better, cheaper options.

I dont see how adding two guys with 800+ ops doesn’t make a team better

I cant see them making these moves unless they were confident they could land him

I am finding this move harder to judge as I think about it more. I think Wood is a decent add as he will be able to eat innings for them, but he's basically just a left handed Joe Musgrove. Kemp and Puig can be plugged into the starting lineup, Kemp is injury prone and I doubt he'll play 100 games this year. Puig is an interesting add, but it's been a while since he was really good, he looks like just a standard corner outfielder.

I officially feel old when players I watched their entire career and had on my fantasy teams are getting elected to the HoF.

Congrats to Rivera, Halladay, E. Martinez, and Mussina.

Mo is the first unanimous entry. Griffey should have been but good for him

Should’ve been a few others before, but happy Mo was unanimous.

Edgar, yes. Mo, yes. Lee Smith, yes. Halladay...I guess so. Mussina...not feeling it. Baines...definitely not feeling it.

More and more, it feels like a lot of these sports are inducting guys just to have a ceremony fit for a 3-hour TV program. You'll see it with football again this year. It's the Hall of FAME, not the Hall of Very Good. I feel like the 'participation award society' we live in now is seeping into the voting for different sports' halls of fame.

Guy converts 89% of saves in a situation where closers convert 88% of saves. OMGWTFBBQ HOW AMAZING!

If you want to pretend having the NY media behind him didn't help his cause, go right ahead.
