Back in June, when I was cleaning up the wood that Duquesne Light left in my yard, I managed to drop a splitting wedge on my foot (fortunately not edge down) so that it hit right at the base of the nail of one of my big toes, which generated a blood mark under the nail. The nail has finally grown enough where the next couple clippings will get rid of it. That spot has been irrationally annoying me for months.
I did this last year. Tripped coming off a bus while wearing water shoes and bent the nail at the root. Took about a year for it to grow out.

I seemingly strained or spazzed the muscle right over where my sternum and rib cage meet yesterday. When it hurts, I can feel it all the way down to my elbow (via the tricep)...

What the hell did I do to myself lol

Only when I move a certain way, and it's on the right side, not the left.

Also didn't kick in until I tried to stretch yesterday afternoon

Doc put me on a low dose statin at the request of my insurance provider. Seems odd.

Is it common for doctors to take medical advice from insurance providers

Are you considered elevated risk for high cholesterol, or have you had it checked already and it's been high? That is weird, he literally just told you it's only because insurance asked for it?

What's your cholesterol levels? Are you overweight?

They don't want to pay for heart attack or stroke treatment is my guess.

I'm overweight yes, HBP and Diabetic. Cholesterol is fine according to her, I just got labs done and have been getting them yearly for several years now. I'm not mad about it, it was just a weird lead when she said "so your insurance wants me to put you on a statin, I'm suggesting a baby dose of 5mg".

I'm losing weight but I've been big my entire life. Down 30lbs since the beginning of the year. Trying to lose 75 total this year. I'm well on my way I think...

Yeah. Actually I haven't lost a lb in about 3 weeks either. I was down 33 in 6 weeks. Gained about 2-3 back since but have been holding steady. Low calorie high protein and I don't eat anything until noon. Usually 1-2 days a week I fast until dinner. I haven't been exercising as much as I should be lately because of laziness, busy at work, and low energy but I need to get back into the swing. Trying to lose enough that I'm not limited in the summer by my size when we do things with my kids. And for the obvious health reasons too. A1C is around 5 now and fasting sugar is still a bit higher (100-105) but I would say I am finally following a diabetic diet.

I was on 80mg for a number of years but down to 40 now.

I get bad pains in my right shoulder from it so I only take it every other day now.

I haven’t had a stomach bug in many years and I’m not even sure if what I woke up with today is a stomach bug. All I really know is this sucks.

Having had it recently, I concur with this diagnosis.

Godspeed, it sucks. I got it from coughing in November. Fortunately when I was coughing again with COVID a couple weeks ago, the costochondritis did not return.

High powered NSAID's will take the edge off but mostly you have to wait it out.

First time I had covid I ended up with costochondritis for like 6 weeks. Where the sternum meets the ribs was unbelievably inflamed on both sides and it hurt to even touch. I remember being freaked out and going for a chest xray but as usual they told me to sack up

My permanent crown fell off last night and I swallowed it while I was eating gummies from trader joes. Thank god not experiencing any real pain
Tooth is dead.. have to have it extracted and get an implant. Next available appointment is until Feb 27th. Guess ill be toothless for a while
Had this tooth pulled a week ago, and I am still in terrible pain. Googled it and I am like 99% sure it is dry socket.. Back to the dentist tomorrow. Can't win

I just went through dry socket, and the pain is unbearable. Call the dentist for an emergency appointment today if you can, that **** will not stop until addressed. And have him pack the socket with that clove tasting ****, because that made a WORLD of difference for me in both pain management and recovery. It's the same as this stuff, which I also bought on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I1FPZ1O/

Thank you! Yeah.. I thought I would be fine by now, but it still feels just as bad as the day it was removed. I have been eating Tylenol and Motrin like candy

Yep, I was switching between those two for days. Ended up going to the dentist twice post-removal, once on a holiday (MLK day) to address it. It may be worth asking your dentist for prescription ibuprofen, too, because enough of that stuff will wreck your stomach. The Rx stuff has a special coating to help it not upset your stomach as much. Wish I did.
