I'm guessing the person who beat up the poll worker in PR won?
Who what now?
I don't know, yesterday MR25 mentioned that someone running for PR school board attacked a poll worker. I didn't see or hear anything else about it, but was wondering if they won.

You make it sound like it would be easy to turn roe vs wade to national law.
For me, it’s in the same vein as the (1) backhanded support for election deniers and (2) supporting the McCarthy removal as speaker.

It cuts against their posture as the “serious” ones. But to me, that’s posturing, that is for the most part true (relative to the moron party), but that doesn’t meant they aren’t going to be opportunistic when they can.

But also, even when the democrats had all three houses of congress, they were still subject to the filibuster, so the idea that they could have passed anything is false. And it’s silly to say that they should have assumed back in 2008 that scotus would turn into this.

All to say, the democratic reps have no incentive to start negotiating with the republicans on this. The republicans are still fighting with themselves about a 15-week restriction. It’s not to say there isn’t some compromise to be had overall (like a 15-week restriction or elective abortion, abundant exceptions for medical reasons after, and of course removal of all state rules more restrictive. The gop does not seem to be in any place to hash this out, and the dems have no incentive to push the issue as it’s an elective windfall for them right now.

How does a long-time incumbent DA run on a platform of "this place is a crime ridden hell hole and I'm the only one who can fix it" and actually win?

Id argue salience

The republicans are “better” on crime for “reasons”.

In that race, crime is the only issue. I can’t wrap my head around the results of that race and county ex in any other way

I did say they were unconfirmed. The only thing I saw was a Facebook post shared from what I'm assuming was the opposition group?

LOL, good luck Allegheny County.

Zappala: "“There’s a lot we have to do. Tonight we’re not going to fix everything, but we’re going to start tomorrow morning.” What'cha been doing the other 6 terms, dude?

Innamorato: "“I know we are going to do great things, and I know I am going to ask a lot in that budget next year,” Now bend over yinz jagoffs!

So weed is now legal in Ohio. Looking forward to PA legalizing it in 2037.

New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and NY are already legal for recreational purposes right? Only WV and PA standing tall in the fight against the devil's lettuce.

So who's opening the big dispensary on the state line?
Kansas City has this same weird situation. Kansans cross the line for weed, and Missourians cross the line to place sports bets.

There’s a dispensary here that sells weed to anyone.

I don’t know what the loophole is, but seems like weed is functionally legal here

I want to complain about how behind NC is with weed but SC might never even medically legalize it

that’s delta-8 which is very very similar to weed (THC) but due to a hemp-farming loophole is kind of legal (delta-8 is technically legal but often times delta-8 products contain an illegal amount of THC so you could still fail drug tests, etc)

it’s weirdly complex: https://www.law.com/njlawjournal/2023/0 ... 1008111327
